Hey vyn i need some help on ranking up. The video really opened my eyes but for me i keep on losing games at way lower elo than my peak. Im at low 1700 whilst peak is 1850. I play a decent amount of ranked but usually fall into losing streaks as soon as i hop on. Do you think grinding ranked endlleslly until you improve is the best way to improve or do you think i should spar diamonds more? In general even when i lose in ranked i always try to make up for the lost elo even tho i play for improvement do you think this is good or just better to play better players. I am also currently finding diamonds in my ranked games due to reset lmao. Ik ive asked a lot but one last question. What did you do to improve to get from like..... a 1700 player to a 2000 elo player? And specifically what did you do. Sorry this is long but hopefully you can help
Sure! So in my opinion, it depends on what your weaknesses are. If you struggle mentally, keep playing ranked, as sparring in a casual environment won’t help you there. If you struggle mechanically, spar some players of equal-better skill level, and still play a lot of ranked. I was stuck in 1700-1800 for a little while before I spiked to 2000 just because I played confidently, and stayed mentally cool the whole way through. Of course if you’re losing 100 ELO, stop playing. But if it’s just 1-2 losses, maybe even 3, don’t stop playing there, as you’ll never get that ELO back if you quit every time that happens. Personally, the biggest thing that I did to improve from a 1900 peak-2000 was abuse my character to the MAX. Sig spamming? Sure, if it works! Axe Nlight and Dlight are broken? I’ll spam those too! Have faith in you, and your legend, and I’m sure you’ll improve. I hope this helps!

I really wanna improve mechanically and I've been taking a lot and I mean A LOT of coaching. I am just very impatient when it comes to me improving slowly. How long did it take you to go from 1800-2000? A few 100 hours? A few 500? A few 1000? Im just really curious on a time I may be able to achieve that goal

reaching diamond is awesome but im not even able to get out of gold, im playing spear legends like ada,gnash kaya and orion recently, ada was my main but blaster dosent really suit me so can you please do videos on it
My dilemma here is that: 1. I play tons of experimental as a casual warmup before my ranked matches 2. My level is fluctuating between late gold to early plat. I get matched with plat players ALL THE TIME in experimental. However, Idk what the hell is the deal with all these smurf accounts in the gold rank that play like diamonds man. I'm stuck at the final stages of gold because of this. I main Barazza btw
1. Playing lots of experimental before ranked is good. As long as you feel like you’re getting warmed up, anything goes 2. Those golds aren’t playing like diamonds, you’ll see how many mistakes they’re making once you get past that ELO. For now, my main advice is to just stay calm and don’t think about your opponent’s rank or playstyle when fighting. Just play the game and try to see their mistakes. For example bad dodge habits or predictable movement, etc.

The difference between gold and platinum, is not the input because a gold could do dlight nair dair grounded on gauntlets and a plat can’t but the platinum is better at the game So the difference is about the fighting iq a gold and a plat have, and same with a diamond. Also a gold could have a hard time fighting certain weapons such as lance and cannon. And a gold could be over aggressive. But plats think about every move But diamonds are sweating and they really make every move count. And most high plats are passive and that’s why they don’t reach diamond
Yes, mechanics is almost always the least important thing past a beginner level, because everyone knows how to input basic true combos. It’s about how you use them

If you’re pissed, take a break. No need to push yourself for a game. Then when you come back try to focus only on yourself, and making sure you’re performing well. Don’t worry if your opponent is a sig spamming Wu Shang, as long as you can hone your skills, you can win

Try to focus on correcting your mistakes each game instead of just playing a lot of ranked. You can find your mistakes by analyzing your replays and seeing what led up to you getting hit

Try to focus on correcting your mistakes each game instead of just playing a lot of ranked. You can find your mistakes by analyzing your replays and seeing what led up to you getting hit
