Yah, that heat looks tough in a long race. I really liked the tour concept of this video. These specific tips for this race location make it seem a lot more appealing to travel without wondering where am I going to swim!!? Can I ride on the roads!? Where to get my caffeine!!? You have definitely answered the important survival questions. Looking forward to the next video!

Hey Eric, another great vid, and yes like the race tour concept! Enjoyed the point of view filming again, similar to China, to give us a feel and flavour for what it's like there, and sharing some of your experiences as travelers, and your pre-race prep. Also interesting to see some of the local culture. Too bad the race didn't go as you hoped but it was a tight turn around from China so totally understandable if you weren't feeling it, but love the positive attitude regardless. Thanks to you and Paula for showing us around!

Great video! I did the race too and you truly captured the experience. Hertz in San Jose was horrible. Totally agree we ended up paying $650 for our van and had to pay a crazy deposit that was held in our CC. Thanks for your awesome content.

My general experience with water when traveling is YOLO. unless it's brown or tastes funny, then I might add some iodine drops or something. I've never left the country to race tho
It’s very rolling, but I wouldn’t say there are “climbs”. The longest uphill is maybe 2 minutes. You start to feel it on lap 2. It’s like Santa Cruz, if you’ve done that

I'll keep looking, but it'll be pretty hard to track down at this point. Sorry the race didn’t go as expected. Yet I think its important for non pros to remember that sometimes things dont go as planned, even the best trained athletes are impacted on race day and you just have to regroup and get back at it.

trbeyond I like the feel a little better just since it’s a spoked wheel with a cover. Nice and stiff and doesn’t feel too heavy/sluggish.
