only the recent packet will be considered the right data package , duplicates are discarded other than the recent one & they are identified by sequence number .

I have one doubt regarding lost acknowledgement.........in case of lost ackledgemnt in stop and wait ARQ, as ack is sent by receiver so its sliding window move to right by one frame(bit) but the window of sender remains as it.so after timeout period when sender sends same frame how it would be received by receiver as the sliding window contains next frame??
Whenever sender is not getting any acknowledgement the timeout occurs & sender will repeat the frame automatically in case of stop & wait ARQ. I don't know which window you are talking about, but simple thing is until timeout the sending buffer won't move until it receives the acknowledgement and wait for the receiver to send ACK.
In sliding window protocol, we had a sliding window of size more than one, even though it was working same as Stop and wait ARQ, it was sending only one bit of data to the receiver, how is window size making a difference.
Wrong keywords used which may confused to understand the TCP concept...sequence number given to each bytets in a segment not to frame at data link ..layer...pls read TCP/IP Illustrated by Stevens.

I think Sequence no range should be 0 to 2^(n-1).You have written (2^n)-1.Correct me if i am wrong.

The sender keeps a timer to check if the time expires then it will send the packet to the receiver again!! Read first carefully!
