Pretty sure that he knew those songs that were part of this game, but you may have a point there, too. Some people think that him being friendly with much younger K-Pop artists and knowing new songs means that he is somehow interested in a creepy way. It is time for people, especially those who barely know him outside of KB, to see a more complete Heechul. He took on the crazy, rude, K-pop representative/genius, cross-dressing roles in the show and those made the show very entertaining; however, those probably made him undesirable as husband material and hated by those who don't understand that many of those were for entertainment and for the ratings. I personally enjoy watching him sing and dance to any song and being Heemi or representative of the Women's club, etc. because he does those so well, but maybe he is being misunderstood.
