Great speaker. Ad Populum... Aristotle promoted the idea that "The opinion of the many can not be wrong." Thereby, we have a jury in the realm of legal matters and the more witnesses the better. God, in the Bible, decreed that the testimony of two witnesses, even three witnesses, establishes fact in the case of being guilty or not when causing sin. Deu.17:6,7 and 19:15, for example.
@@urbegumela1107o, they are not the same. Ad hominem this where you attempt to make an attack on a persons credibility to discredit their claims. The strawman fallacy is where you misrepresent a persons persons argument, so you can easily refute their argument, not actually addressing the substance of the argument. Also can be done by creating a weak argument so that it can be easily refuted, so then the person opposing refutes the argument easily then the other person in the argument can create an even stronger argument, which makes their entire argument appear stronger than it actually is. So, ad hominem is a personal attack to discredit the persons credibility and the strawman fallacy is where you misrepresent an argument itself so you can easily refute in appear to have a stronger position.
I've been seeing your videos lately when i was assigned to teach Philosophy. they really helped me a lot. Thank you Maam. More power to your channel :)
Anyone else impressed that she's writing everything backwards?
