Looks like a fab day out. Using Trail Forks it's tricky to suss which is the best route up. Any short cuts or joins between the forest road to speed the climb up?
Nice one 👍 I rode there the first time a few weeks but parked and ascended from the canal side which was a killer. Best to fireroad it up from the trail centre car park would you say?
Great stuff, looks like conditions were spot on. I'm over for 3 days riding in June, staying in aberdare, gonna ride Barry Sidings as we know it after last year's trip, was gonna ride risca on one day and maybe smilog, we did wyllie last year but heard forestry works are ongoing. Is smilog worth a day or would you recommend another place, we will all be pedalling and like more natural stuff than bermy jumpy stuff👍
Yeah Smilog will be a top place for you to visit! It has plenty of tracks to check out. The one side of the forestry is pretty mellow and smooth whereas the other side is pretty steep and technical. Plenty of tracks to keep you busy 👍
This trails look so sick, nice ride video mate👍
Thanks for checking it out 👍
Wow! nice ride👍👍👍
Thanks Mark 👍👍
Brilliant day love bikes ayee. Rip and Tear Gelligaer. Letsavew 🐑

You keep teasing me with these Risca edits until I finally get up there.

Get out for a rip buddy!!
Look like some sticky goodness. 🤙
Perfect conditions!

Just the main road to the top of the trails then there is a fire road climb that comes back up the Risca side so that you can smash out the laps 👍
@@JamesRobertMTB thanks mate. Found on Trailforks. Cheers.
So from the top of the old dh runs can I find some of these on
That side?
One of them seems to start where the old tepee and Indian camp was?
Yeah that’s it mate!! They are all along that road

Yeah that climb is a real struggle. Much easier on the trail centre road 👍
