    Nice video, I agree that you tend to second guess the price on these all in one systems. I actually purchased the Sonus Faber Omnia because the online I usually shop was out of the Muso 2. I paid I believe $2100 for that beast and for a good thirty days I thought about sending it back because of the price. The sound is great with a large sound stage and really good bass , but is it worth that much? Well I look at this way, the room where I mostly use it is not small but I didn’t want to put a full hi-end audio system in to take up space that could be used for other things. It is a frequently used room for the family and I was able to fill the room with great, full sound without having to worry about losing space or someone’s kid knocking over a speaker when I have guests.

    Why are you saying the speaker is mono?
    The cabinet has 5 speakers in all. Both left and right stereo speakers have a bass and tweeter and slap in the middle is a wooofer! Making the sytsem 2.1 stereo. The woofer being the .1
    I'm curious to know why you would say it's mono?

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I stand corrected. It does play stereo content but the speakers are so close together your ear perceives a single sound source. For example, Studio monitors should be a minimum 3 feet apart to get proper stereo imaging.

    I have listened to both in real life and both sound very clean but there is no bass in either. Buy instead the KEF LSX II or KEF LSX II LT. Now those are truly good active speakers.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree! Plus KEF has two speakers for true stereo affect.

    • @majicogarcia8417
      @majicogarcia8417 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Apples and oranges. The Muso is for someone who doesnt want to put up with two separate boxes and wires. Also two totally different sounds, the KEF will have more detail and better sound quality in the treble and upper mid, but you are wrong about the bass, the Muso will smoke both KEF speakers put together for bass and have much stronger mids with more slam. You would need something like the KEF LS50 to compete with the Musos slam and bass.

    I think the sound of the Zeppelin would much improve if it was housed inside a box, with 20mm thick wooden walls.
    Mu-So has more drivers, yes, but what makes it sound better is the better housing with speaker ports on the inside .

  • @artistadrtm

    Some irrelevant statements.
    1.none of these are mono(!) but single-point, which is a totally different things.
    2.The measuring unit is decibels/meter, meaning that your decimeter should be positioned at 1m from the source. In your video the decimeter is highly irrelevant as it's positioned as a random distance, from the looks of it, nearly 2meters.
    Keep up the good work!

    Sorry. It’s a pointless exercise recording sound from high end speakers on an iPhone or similar for it to then be played back on an iPad of similar. There are too many links in the chain between the original sound and what the viewer hears. Granted you can get an impression of the two sounds but nothing beats listen to your own choice of music when you are actually in front of the speaker. It’s a very personal choice and for a keen audiophile the prices is almost irrelevant.

    • @WWeiss-nv5vz
      @WWeiss-nv5vz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agree, for the most part, but if the two speakers are level matched properly, even on a cheap iPhone you can sometimes hear bass difference and if one speaker is more efficient. Hard to find these two speakers next to each other in a store. Even if you did, then you would have to level match them.

On the other hand the Zeppelin and Muso are very modern/hi tech looking and fit nicely in upscale living room settings. If I'm going large for the same $1,300 I could get a Bose Pro8 that would fill the largest living rooms. I know at low volumes a PA speaker doesn't compete in SQ but I play loud 85-100dB! Bose 180 degree throw can not be equaled by any small single box speaker. I actually don't have the Pro8. I have the Bose Pro32/Sub2.
