I just wanted to say thanks very much for your videos and commentary on these routes. Previously there wasn't much information to gauge the difficulty of some sections. I've ridden many of these routes on my very lightly loaded KTM 80R and wouldn't know what to expect if it wasn't for you sharing really good information. Please keep doing what you do. Hopefully there can be a more detailed alternate tab on the BDR website so people can get real info about what to expect of trail conditions ... Since the BDR folks have transitioned to an easier route with more difficult sections, it's really helpful to know the level of difficulty for those sections so they can gradually take on more and more challenging routes. I personally would like to see a ranking system for harder alternates, like an H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, etc. That way people could gauge a level of personal risk and and possible achievement. Hagerman Pass in CO, can be really difficult. Lockhart Basin in Utah. I want to talk with the organizers of the BDR and suggest a dual sport trail rating system might make some sense when it comes to the more challenging sections along these routes. An H1, H2 or H3 I might be willing to try based on my skill level alone. An H4 or H5, I might want to make sure I have a buddy, in case we each need a hand...
Thanks for your comments. Appreciate the support! Good thoughts and I agree. I take it you have seen my NEBDR "Hardest roads ranked" video? I rated the NEBDR trails, but I like the simplicity of your suggested ranking system using an H1 etc rating. It really would help!
This is just about 20 minutes from my house. I have never been on it, heard way to many stories of how bad it is. My hats off to you guys.
Yeah, that road is rough! Glad you enjoyed the video.
That's hardcore dude, especially on an ADV bike. Respect.
@@ryanmalone2681 appreciate it… still think I could have done better even on the ADV bike.
Enduro riding on street bike .....now that's an adventure 😱
Oh yeah!
