Ameo Powerbreather: Does it SUCK? (In a good way)

- I tested out the ameo power breather to see if this new snorkeling technology would increase my performance in the water, but is it just a gimmick or does it actually help?
Either way, it's a lot better than the easybreath mask that I see a lot of people using!

Can you actually breath under water?
Without the top out of the water
It looks basically like a dual shotgun type snorkel where you have a one way valve that directs your exhaust and any potential water intake.
Shanger: This video was from 1 year ago. After you used the Powerbreather for awhile, did you make the switch from traditional 1-side snorkel? I am a freediver, spearfisherman, open water swimmer... I can see where this thing might be nice... it needs to be an awesome improvement to change from my 1-side. What do you think?
I have two of them. I use it snorkeling. It is hard to use scuba diving. It would be cool if they made a scuba model.

A fun hack idea for this device:
Supplies- Powerbreather, duck tape, dishwasher waste hose, a large pool noodle, and four syringe 💉 style water guns.
Tools- scissor and hacksaw
Instructions- Use the scissor to cut the waste hose into six pieces and the pool noodle into four pieces of equal length. With the hack saw, cut off the nozzles and plungers from the water guns. Next, stick the waste hose sections into the gun tubes and tape them tightly. Then, take one of the noodle pieces and insert the waste pipe into one end; tape around it to form a joint, do the same to another. Tape the all four noodles together to form a float that will keep the tubes above the water. Finally, select a pair of vents and tape them to the other end of the breathing tubes.

Jordan Ezell Why do you need a dishwasher hose? Are they more crush resistant? The main problem with using a long tube underwater is that the water pressure crushes the tube and you cannot breathe through it

Ameo PowerBreather don't have purge valve, how you fix it if water enter you mounth ?
Hi Chien, The Powerbreather is designed so water does not enter the top of the snorkel tube, if you do get some seepage or have saliva in the snorkel it will expel out the front of the snorkel as you breathe out.
Great product. It works awesome after you master the breathing technique. I don't recommended for part time swimmers since it takes practice, patients, and dedication.
Keeping any snorkel in your mouth when descending and ascending is a no-go 100%.
So, these cost $30 like the snorkels @ 9:20 ?? Or do they cost over $100 like the good snorkels that you haven't tried???

I been having this item in my amazon account list for long time and after watching this video I feel more into trying it specially cause I do have coordination problems when turning the head to get air I stop moving my legs 😂😂😂 Im sure it would be great to have one of this!

I post it on my insta. I think it’s useful for training and athletic swimming but for free diving you have to be able to spit it out easily for safety

No you cant breath underwater. Where should you get the air from? Under water same as normal snorkel but with a normal you have to spit or push the water out of the tubes. Hee you just breath normal and water goes out under and you can breath in normal again.
Your not stoked, you really want to say its junk but want to get free stuff, I get it.
john metyk it’s not junk. I don’t recommend it for free diving but it feels very different than a regular snorkel and works well for lap swimming and surface snorkeling
@@shangerdanger It's attempting to be marketed as a rebreather, powebreather, what's the power about. You cant out breathe a proper snorkle.
Im not sure how it looks like a rebreather. Without a tank it’s impossible to breathe underwater. Should be pretty obvious.
