    I don't understand why people think the Republicans only favor those who are rich.
    I'm a Republican, and definitely NOT rich.
    I favor Christian values.

    Doesn't matter who voted for or against. Don't you people get it? NOBODY READ IT!!! (Yes, I'm yelling.) Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or independent, don't you think our representatives should know what they're voting for or against?!

  • @senorlobo1
    @senorlobo1 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    You got that right!
    A member of the AP once quoted me, "Republicans are not in the business of stewarding the "American people, they are in the business of winning elections."
    "Tell 'em what they want and how they want it, and let 'em have it just that wayayyyy..."

  • @senorlobo1
    @senorlobo1 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    I disagree. He had more than enough time to read and discuss. He has a team of people to help him. As a leader he had the resource to get the documents ahead of time. As a leader he had the responsibility to forgo luncheons and dinners and use that time to study on behalf of his constituents.
    Sir, you go to Congress to lead, not to complain.

    He sure is! Now how many of his cabinet appointments have had to resign due to tax issues? He hasn't even been in office for a solid month yet and had to replace about 10 top cabinet officials. The guy is a disgrace and I am ashamed to say I bought all of his BS and voted for him.

    No bill should be passed if not read and weighed. It was read by the very people who now claim to have never read it.
    I admire your tenacity. But, when the patriot act was passed in much the same way where were the muckrakers then?
    I honestly think and feel this bill will do more good than harm.
    This package is not about letting immigrants take from us; it is about getting us back on our feet.
    If it doesn't do that, well then I'm with you.
    Until then, I'm with Obama.

    1) House appropriates spending money.
    2) President signs budget.
    3)Pentagon treasury accounts get filled according to budget.
    4) Pentagon (read that: CLINTON Pentagon) spends and is supposed to document what is spent.
    5) New President - New Sec. of Defense in January 2001.
    6) New Sec. of Defense starts audit of Pentagon after taking office.
    7) Early Sept. 2001, Audit is completed and 3.2 Trillion is unaccounted for. Sec. of Def. reports findings.

    What we actually need is a complete government replacement. Cabinet, justices, congress, senate, ALL of them. The ONLY possible way a stimulus package could reach 1100 damn pages is from all these pricks inserting a small piece of their agenda into it. 3 or 4 pages would more than suffice. Every bill under consideration should be publicly viewable online for AT LEAST A WEEK.

    A "revenue neutral" policy offered by Ryan would have meant that revenue taken in would not be spent for defense, pay down the debt, or secure social security or Medicare, it would just be a transfer of wealth from the middle and working class to the rich by putting a limit of $2500 on deductions. However, the deduction for "self" is currently a little more than $2500. So if they put in a voucher program you could choose between a deduction for "self" or a "medical voucher" deduction

    To you DEMS here: whether you mud sling the other way or not, two wrongs don't make a right. 48 hours is not enough time for a government body to be "transparent" to the people. Urgency, for me is often followed by great skepticism, and this case is no exception.

    WRONG! This bill has changed completely every day for weeks, the final version, that is completely different from other versions in where money goes and how much money is spent, just now came out, and we have no time to even know what is in it.

  • @DCussen
    @DCussen 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you give tax cuts to rich or poor, it's not a "gift", it's letting them keep more of the money that's theirs, and that they've earned. It's not the gov't job to try to get money from anyone who has money. Ironically, large tax cuts tend to stimulate the economy and result in more dollars actually coming into the government - that's been WELL documented.

  • @Shabaka87

    Isn't food stamps stimulus, helping businesses wether the economic storm. You people have blindness of the perspective. The Gov is supposed to print money, not for bank bailouts, but for jobs infrastructure, and not UN infrastructure. It is about our Word in God, where the people are valuable, their time, as well as the products produced so we print money based upon our resources in the ground, but not through the fed but through our own sovereign Gov. putting mony in circulation not in gold

    The markets looks forward, not backwards. The fact that the market has dropped significantly shows that it's rejecting what he has to say. This happened with Jimmy Carter, and he had one of the most catastrophic presidencies in recent history. Obama has said he doesn't consider the DOW an important factor and writes it off as a gallop poll. He is ignoring the thing that has made America a prosperous state.
