My family was honored to participate in this thrilling day. It was filled with love, excitement and of course the bitter sweet sadness of not having Cass present to receive her star.

Hi, Chynna, I know how you love to dig deep into Scriptures and I came across this one I thought you'd like. It takes place in Jude 9 where Satan is disputing Christ over the body of Moses, claiming that he had the dominion over Moses because he was a sinner. All Jesus said to him was, "The Lord rebuke you." Christ did not stoop to enter the fray with Satan. Instead He referred Satan to the Father, saying, "The Lord rebuke you." Moses was the first human to be raised from the dead. Two boys in the Old Testament were also raised up. In the New Testament, Jesus raised up a young man, a little girl and Lazarus. Ultimately, Jesus rose from the grave in the most significant resurrection of the Scriptures, giving us hope for our own resurrection when He returns to earth again. Except for Moses and Jesus, all of these people raised up had to die again (hopefully much, much later!) But the point is, when Satan tries to dredge up our old sins, all we need to do is refer him to the Father and say, "The Lord rebuke you." That phrase is power! Don't forget it.

Throughout my life I have always missed the greatest events and this was yet another. I loved Cass Elliot so much. It was very hard to reconcile her passing as a child. Okay this is huge being a child of the 60's and having The Mamas and the Papas, The Lovin' Spoonful and CSN and Y (sometimes at the end of a sentence) also The Monkees love them I was 10 they are my rock music heroes plus Henry Diltz and his iconic photos. So glad Mama Class is being recognized for amazing voice and talent. Great tribute!

I follow a Russian man on utube who is very upset with the actions of his government. When they started the mobilization he left Russia. It was very tense because they were refusing some people to leave the country. He sent out a screen shot on the plane of a lot of very nervous, scared Russian men. His caption to the picture was;

Here is a Russian man who was not even born in the 60's, at one of the most tense moments of his life, quoting and adjusting the words to a Mama's and Papa's song.
That shows you the power of words set to music to reach people all over the world. A fleeing Russian thinks of an American song to capture how he's feeling.
Cass Elliot was such a pure, amazing singer. I LOVED her voice, her inflection and interpretation. I was so crushed when she passed. Only 3 months later, we lost my younger brother. That year really sucked. RIP, Mama. This fan will never forget you and will ALWAYS love and respect you and your tremendous, larger than life talent.
