When you start the asylum process, the government tries to make you independentas soon as possible so that you dont have to depend on them and they do that by giving you work permit so that you can start working to take care of your needs. After seeking Asylum, you're required to go do your medical at an immigration designated clinic and the clinic submits the results to immigration and your work permit gets emailed to the address you have given on your file

Visa?? I didn't use a visa. I came via U.S like I have stated and people were just moving freely through the U.S Canada border though the border I used closed on 25th March this year
People do seek asylum from the port of entry if yours is an airport yes. If you know the definition of asylum then you should be knowing what issues fall under that category. I think I did state my journey here in this video of how mine went, hope you watched till the end of it
Your port of entry could be ideal but anyway you choose to actually. It's still Canada. As long as you have a strong case with outstanding evidence it doesn't really matter where you do it

What i know is when you start your asylum process, you can either stay in a shelter that's if you're able to find one or government gives you some assistance to rent a room and you get your work permit as you wait for your hearing.
