Tsar Nicholas II was so angry that the Russian athletes competing in the 1912 Olympics didn't win any medals that he sent a telegram to Stockholm, informing the Russian Olympic team that he wouldn't pay for their return trip to Russia; they had to get home as best they could. I don't know of any other head of state, in the entire history of the Olympics, who ever did this. As it happened, this was the last Olympics that Russia/the Soviet Union was to participate in until the 1952 Games in Helsinki.

Bring back Tug Of War event! I rather want this than the f**king psychotic fighting sports like boxing. Replaced the park BMX/skateboarding sports with this would be better idea too. Tug of war is way more fun, simple & peaceful
