      @Dream12Chaser SmackDown 06 fukn ruled! Great tv matches every week, good mix of characters, awesome feuds. Edge/Cena was great. The rest of RAW was 'meh' w/ DX's beavis & butthead schtick. Lame AF. And not funny at all.

      SD was great the 1st half of 07 and was really good in 08 & up until the fall of 09 too IMO. Putting the title on Khali in 07 made no sense when u had Umaga & Mark Henry right there as dominant heels. And they were both much better workers (Umaga was incredible), much more entertaining, and in Henry's case could cut killer promos.

    I loved the begining where they were so technical. I don't think I'd ever seen technical wrestling and technical wrestling that skillful and for a decent amount of time in the WWE before and I never saw it afterwards.

    • @isitaye
      @isitaye 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Big Daddy Rikka Kurt couldn't even straighten his legs or walk properly when he returned to Raw, his neck was and is still messed up. The only obvious thing to do was to put him in an on-screen personality position or backstage. He hasn't wrestled a good match for a long time. This wasn't punishment.

    • @isitaye
      @isitaye 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Big Daddy Rikka You're not letting me in on a secret by telling me that wrestlers hurt when they wrestle for long enough. Edge is younger than Angle and had surgery that literally fixed his ongoing problem. He's also only wrestled two matches since he's been back. I assume you've seen the Taker documentary, you know that he also had surgery, he's just old now and past it. Kurt refused surgery, continued wrestling with a broken neck and back. His body is completely fucked and if you can't see that by just looking at the way he stands, I'm sorry but you're tinted by nostalgia. Time to let go man, these guys can't go anymore, WWE needs to focus on building up newer talent instead of relying on guys that can't even physically move anymore.

    • @MrBonercone
      @MrBonercone 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Big Daddy Rikka have you ever considered that he just doesn’t want to do it himself? He’s said multiple times on social media he’s fine with not wrestling anymore or having a “final match”. Dude speaks highly of the McMahons all the time too and has said multiple times how they’ve taken care of him so I’m pretty sure they always asked what he felt/wanted to do before they went along with any plans when he had his return stint. Stop talking out your ass because of what you “think” is going on behind the scenes 🙄

    • @MrBonercone
      @MrBonercone 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Big Daddy Rikka lmaooo hey jackass when did I ever talk about anything pertaining to the future? I’m only talking about what happened when he came back. If u read what I said correctly you’d see I referred to everything in the past tense. Like I said with his return stint he SAID he was perfectly fine with the role he HAD coming back on his FB. I capitalized the words that are in past tense just so you wouldn’t miss them. you really are special I could tell😂😂

    Pro wrestling the way Kurt Angle did it was REAL. It had -- dare I use one of the three I's? -- integrity. He did it with a true athlete's sensibility, and a true athlete's skill. The fans got their money's worth, and his opponents got a man committed to great matches.

    • @RatelHBadger
      @RatelHBadger 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There was something about the way guys with genuine amateur backgrounds make the matches look just like an extension of their competitions, just with a bit more flair. They just look more real and more painful, where guys like Cena or The Rock get big crowd pops, but don't look like they could hold an armbar on a child, if it was a proper fight.

    Look not every great match has to be at wrestlemania. Smackdown in 2002 -2005 had nothing but great matches and people recognized how much effort they put into them which is why Smackdown was so popular. I always, always appreciated these matches cause as a kid I couldn't watch PPVs!? I never even saw one! The only thing I saw was wrestlemania 20 and that wasn't a good one at all. People booed the matches and believe they booed Brock and Goldberg and if you try to watch it again you'd find the whole dubbed with fake audience cheer. That wrestlemania kurt had with Shawn at 22? That was Smackdown every week! Smackdown title made sense cause it was just mayhem in your face action. I didnt think any of the PPVs or wrestlemanias were that great. I started watching wwe at a great time cause 1997-2001 was so cartoony and if I started watching then I would have switched it off. I mean I had a chance to watch the attitude era but it looked dumb....then after 2007 or 8 it just turned into something else. I am not a wwe fan but I am someone who really enjoyed whatever 2002-2005 was.
