Almost the whole team went on to have a big season afterwards. Rose mvp. Russ and love allstars. Odom 6man. Gordon at allstar level. Chandler champ. Funny how it was labeled a weak b-team because it happened before the hype for rose, russ, steph and love. Only durant was considered a real star in 2010 the rest was really underestimated. Still won gold easily.
Yeah, compared to the 08 team they certainly lacked the name recognition and career accomplishments, but it was (with the exception of a few.veterans) the best young stars the league had to offer and it certainly showed.
Keep in mind, these USA line up was full of youngster player like Westbrook, Durant, Odom, Chandler, Rose and Curry who didn't reached their prime yet, but they did accomplished what the 2002-06 & 2019 USA couldn't in those world championship. So what's the key factor ? The dedicated coached, the team chemistry, the motivation, the heart and desire to take the competition seriously were their key to won this title even though these US team weren't an all star team compared to 92-96 Dream Team and 2008-12 USA. I'd say 2010, 1960, 1968, and 1986 USA were the most inspirational winning team ever been in any world championship
No, the factor is what you see: other USA teams were tired from the playoff and full seasons. Those players were with a lot of energy, all ones, not only five. They were better than an NBA team considering only the single. In realthy the USA team was often fake.
Because these team doesn't have the best star player compared to 08 & 12 team. Most of the them were a youngster and weren't even in their prime yet. But let's respect how this team won the title btw
First of all, these guys play at least 82 games, 48 minutes each. Other leagues they don't even play 75 games and their duration is 8 minutes less, which makes up about 2/3 of a quarter. Another thing I noticed is that USA players have better fitness and wellness compared to guys in FIBA. These 2 major factors are the reason why NBA is far superior than FIBA.
I don't know if u watch the Olympics but USA usually wins the most gold 🏅 in the Olympics and not just in basketball.... USA is a superior nation with the most skilled and dedicated players ever in the world.
Chauncey Billups, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook. These USA team was underrated in my opinion
And curry
Arguably the best Fiba team ever 💯 love coming back watching these highlights
2014 is better
@@fleetadmiralsakazuki it was I agree
1994 even better@@fleetadmiralsakazuki
@@MCJohn-117it wasn’t lmao
@@WO2411 It goes 1994, 2014 and 2010. If you think otherwise, you’re a moron.
Very cool video of somewhat underrated team which will probably get more recognition as time goes on. Enjoyed the russian commentary as well

Hard to believe now but back then it was a big surprise when they cut Rondo in favor of Westbrook and Curry before the tournament
elgrandecaudillo I don't think so, Rondo was great but he didn't have the versatility of the other guards.
If you look at recent history. Most players that represented USA, had a great improvement after the tournament.
Michael Eyob he was a better PG than everybody on the squad antes top 3 in NBA at that time.
Yeah, compared to the 08 team they certainly lacked the name recognition and career accomplishments, but it was (with the exception of a few.veterans) the best young stars the league had to offer and it certainly showed.
Drose Westbrook and KD went on to have big season after this Fiba run
Tyson Chandler as well, winning an NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks, against Miami Heat’s BIG3 (Lebron, D. Wade and Bosh).
That's almost always the case
After the 2008 Olympics LeBron won his 1st MVP award, Howard DPOY, Wade scoring title, Kobe NBA championship

Team usa went from legendary to anyone that wants to play
Keep in mind, these USA line up was full of youngster player like Westbrook, Durant, Odom, Chandler, Rose and Curry who didn't reached their prime yet, but they did accomplished what the 2002-06 & 2019 USA couldn't in those world championship. Man, these USA team was pretty under appreciated compared to the 2008 and 2012. Seems nobody talk about it
Because these team doesn't have the best star player compared to 08 & 12 team. Most of the them were a youngster and weren't even in their prime yet. But let's respect how this team won the title btw
This team usa is entertaining to watch like 2008 team usa
This young USA team proved how good the NBA draft was, in around 2007-2010
This was a special team
Yup. This was something special on the youngster of the team. 2019 national team is trash and an insult to this team
So many explosive athletes in that lineup, who would've thought Steph Curry would be the one to change the entire landscape of basketball? 😄
Iggy looked really unstoppable in this tournament. Man!
Prime Iggy
Odom was the x factor for this team
04 he was special too
Steph’s shot was so slow back then
I didn't know that Curry was already part of this team.
Iggy was killing in the dunkers spot omg
This team had way more highlights than 2014 Team USA
Obviously
+Anthony Espinosa you too
Mingxian McGrady He 2014 was an special team, and won easily than all of USA Teams since maybe 1996 olympic team...
Flavio 8inchsize hell nahh
@Flavio 8inchsize
2008 and 2012 was absolute stoked, special and superior, imo

That's why I think NBA league is superior to any basketball club league
Pretty clear those are quality manufactured rims holy shit
billups,is supposed to be at the,2008 us team, but certain issue,he needs to withdraw,i like him mr,big shot
+Sercia Soliven Fuck you! Nothing asking
What's with the coach at 5:09? He looks like he is crying lol. Take your beating with some dignity
It took 6:18 into the video to finally see curry highlight 😂

Okay Because Michael Jordan Is The Best Players To Win Back To Back Gold Medals Since 1992-1996
