It is believed that Hitler later saw a painting depicting Tandey sparing his life in a German headquarters. However, historians question the authenticity of this account due to inconsistencies in dates and locations. Regardless of its veracity, Hitler's rise to power and the atrocities of World War II overshadow this alleged incident, shaping history in a profoundly tragic manner.
