BADMINTON SHUTTLE FEEDER PART 1: launch mechanism

  • Hello guys,
Today I gonna show you how to build the first part of my automatic badminton shuttle feeder. I use two brushless motors on which I attach two RC car wheels. I chose brushless motors because they have high rotational speeds and since a badminton shuttle is about 5g heavy I don't need much torque. I use a 12V 50A power supply to supply enough current to the motors which have a max current of 19A each. I control everything with a potentiometer and ESCs (Electronic Speed Controlers) connected to an Arduino UNO. The code for the Arduino will be published once the project will be done.
    I hope you enjoyed!
Thanx so much for the support

This is a fantastic project, did you get any further with it? If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your adaptors to mount the RC car wheels to the motors, and what RC Car wheels are those?

Love the video man ! My buddies and I built a similar poc would love to share ideas and help each other. We play in a club in raleigh and are just looking to build something for fun because we like to tinker. Here is our video

Basically we got this for the motors -> www.robotshop.com/en/12v-5310-rpm-cim-brushed-dc-motor.html
The attachment for wheels was this -> www.robotshop.com/en/8mm-screw-hub.html
      The wheels are this - > www.robotshop.com/en/8-first-rubber-treaded-wheel.html
we could use some more help :(

Thank you for sharing this stuff. Your wheels look sick! At what rpm do you let them rotate? I've got some brushless motors that rotate at least at 5000 rpm...
Well, if you need help, just ask! It's my first time doing such a thing though so don't expect much.
Personally, I gonna build almost everything in makeblock components: www.makeblock.com/
