If the referee is Arthur Mercante Jr (thought of as bad) or Steve Smoger (thought of as good), you'll be given a chance to keep going. I didn't find the stoppage as bullshit as some, but I can't understand how anyone can fail to think of it as a bit quick.

He also had glossy eyes when he got up from the first knock down and when he was dropped again it confirmed what the ref already knew. Next, in matches you also have to manage your energy, and I knew Lopez was going to slow because he was overspending his energy while berto was pacing himself perfectly. So that's like racing somebody a mile and on the first lap he breaks out into almost a full sprint, you laugh to your self because you know he is going to tire himself out and you will easily pass him and win. Lastly, when refs fail to stop a fight when a fighters hurt and that leads to a fighter being brain damage then he may never ref again.
