Silt Striders are my favorite Elder Scrolls creatures and I was so happy to see Dusty in Skyrim then I got the info she might be the last and I felt so sad
The Silt Striders and Netch were such alien and interesting creatures, they really helped make Morrowind a special game. I was overjoyed when I saw them again the the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim.
I've always had a softspot for these creatures, and wondered why they were never really mentioned much after Morrowind. It's obvious why they weren't recurring in later games, due to having the ability to fast travel at any time, but I hope the last bit of the lore is expanded upon canonically, and they make a comeback.
I guess they just didn’t fit the theme, cause Skyrim did have the wagon carts that acted just like silt striders for transport… so it’s not like they couldn’t. Lore-wise: I don’t think it would be worth it to import the eggs to Cyrodil or Skyrim, raise them, and build a strider tower in every town… when horses work perfectly fine. Horses and wagons don’t seem like they’d work well in the swampy, volcanic, crazy terrain of Vardenfell.
By the Nine Divines I hope thats true, that Dusty isn't dying but is simply waiting to give birth and that there will be more Silt Striders. Morrowind is my favorite game of all time, it helped me get through some really bad times by providing a much needed escape. Hearing in Skyrim that Vvardenfell had been basically destroyed was a deeply upsetting thing to hear.
I remember seeing that one super old silt strider outside of the mushroom tower in solthsteim and just standing there for a bit with them. Was a super peaceful moment.
started playing morrowind again in an attempt to actually try and beat it just yesterday, and now i get this recommended to me. i feel like the universe is trying to tell me something...
Color grading in Morrowind was spot on. Love this game so much. Balmora in ESO is worth seeing as it’s beautifully upgraded to more realistic establishment but the original remains my favorite.
I've recently been binging elder scrolls lore and having a hard time finding someone I like, I love your fallout videos I've seen every one lol. I for one would LOVE you to do a series on this as well.. so much lore in it!
Loved it! And I would love to see more. I may already be a bit of a "loremaster" from back in my ESO days, seeing this stuff put into videos is lovely. Also, be sure to get shots from ESO where you csn. The game is beautiful, and I did recognize the Baar Dau clip you used. Nice work as always
I’m all in for elder scrolls lore. So many mysteries that could be uncovered. Hope we get some long form videos from this! These ten minute ones just ain’t scratching that itch 😂
I finally played the dragonborn dlc like a month ago, and seeing the last silt strider in that game after playing morrowind, I legitimately got teary eyed
I would absolutely love to see more videos on the Elder Scrolls franchise. And what a topic to start off with! Absolutely loved the silt striders in Morrowind. Their call just fills me with nostalgia of playing this game for hours when I was a child. Please keep up the amazing work on these videos.
I love how in-depth and fleshed out the Dunmer culture is in Morrowind. Kirkbride did such an amazing job making Vvardenfell feel alien and unique. It surprised me how much I came to respect the Dunmer and the creatures that inhabit the land. Well, aside from Cliffracers, that is. But Saint Jiub sorted them out eventually.
If I remember correctly, Neloth mentions that he released some Silt Striders when he arrived on the Solstheim. Although, we don’t find any in-game apart from Dusty.
Morrowind is my first and only Elder Scrolls game. Hearing the Silt Strider's cry made me emotional. I tried Oblivion and Skyrim but they felt soo generic after Morrowind
As well researched and well spoken as your Fallout lore videos. As usual, very well done. After the year this has been, I have to ask. We've lost Mitten, we've lost Storyteller... You're okay, right? 2024 has taken too many Bethesda CCs already. Hope you're keeping well, Synonymous.
I've always wished that the series hadn't drifted from interesting form of fast travel like the silt striders. It's such a great flavor for the world. I've also never liked the Red Year, since it just deletes one of Tamriel's most interesting landscapes, only to replace it with a horribly dull one.
The cliffracers weren’t killed by the eruption of Red Mountain, they were hunted down to extinction by St. Jiub the Eradicator, the guy who wakes the player up at the start of Morrowind
They are cliff racers, not cliff striders. They were actually hunted down to extinction by St. Jiub, the dunmer that wakes you up on the ship in Morrowind. I'm sure the environmental effects didn't help them either, though. Jiub would make a great topic for the future since he shows up on TES III, IV & V (Well, in IV, he was just a crushed corpse off-screen in Kvatch 😅).
Here it is, my first Elder Scrolls Lore video! Should I make more?
YES
Please sir, may I have some more?
100% yes
Absolutely!
Yes!
Nothing says public transportation better than needing a several story tall building to ride inside a giant flea!
That first shot of Vvardenfell looking just like The Divide is a great transition from Fallout to Elder Scrolls
the games take place in the same universe
@@xaidanx64okay buddy 👍
@@xaidanx64ill have what you are smoking. Seriously though who knows technically all Bethesda games could be in the same multiverse
My first time playing the dragonborn DLC and meeting dusty made a cold dry wind flow through my heart. Seeing vvardenfell like this is beyond tragic.
Silt Striders are my favorite Elder Scrolls creatures and I was so happy to see Dusty in Skyrim then I got the info she might be the last and I felt so sad
elder scrolls lore video from synonymous? hell yeah dude
My mom said if I waited good things would happen to me

Silt striders are just chill af
Red Mountain exploded, taking most of the Silt Striders with it. Not to mention, they cant really survive anywhere else biologically
@@Microwave44444 Too chill for this world

By the nine? Azura curses you, s'wit.
Mephala protects the Dusty and may she give more striders to our ash borrowed lands.

6:01 We'll miss you, Storyteller.
This series is gonna be amazing

I loved Silt Striders, I hope the theory is true and Dusty revives the species
Those dunmer were cruel as oblivion to these beasts
P.S make more of these, you have a nice way of speaking
We eating good for Elder Scrolls lore this year as we await the coming of the Sixth.
You’ll be waiting a long time before Bethesda gets its crap together.
@@VandelbergerI’m sure we’ll get an updated 2025 minimum

Glad you decided to some elder scrolls content my friend
synonymous+morrowind=me dropping a like and coming back to watch this when im not busy
Glad you’re starting out with a Morrowind video for Elder Scrolls! Love those silty stridies

I love it! Silt striders are way under represented in lore and I’m so glad you covered
I’m all in for elder scrolls lore. So many mysteries that could be uncovered.

I've always found Silt Striders so adorable
Such a vibe. Great start to doing TES content my friend. The striders are the definition of iconic and are always nostalgic for me.
I’m happy you got a chance to play it through. It’s such a rich world!
So glad to see you branching out into Elder Scrolls content
Yessss, finally an elder scrolls lore. Do more in the future please.
Dream come true, Synonymous doing Elder Scrolls lore... sign me up 10 years ago
I finally played the dragonborn dlc like a month ago, and seeing the last silt strider in that game after playing morrowind, I legitimately got teary eyed
Love your videos keep up the great work
Awesome, you covered most of the cool stuff in fallout, cool to see you branching out
Love it mate, excellent content as always.
Giant, tortured fleas with a whale call?

Im here for it. Keep it up mane
Great video wouldnt mind watching more of ES lore im sure just like fallout theres plenty of material out there for you ^^
What better place to start with the elder scrolls than with the bug bus
I love having your lore videos on in the background at first I was pretty confused... Elder scrolls lore videos yes please.
Silt Striders are probably my favorite Elder Scrolls animal. I wish there were more giant bugs that were friendly.
Elder Scroll content??? Yes please!
Please more Elder Scrolls videos! I love Elder Scrolls lore.
Finally. I will know more about these games other than how to break them open 😂😂

Great video! Please make more elder scrolls content!
nice, thank you man. i enjoy every video. stay safe.
My ass thought this was a creature I never encountered in Fallout for way too long
Love the video! Should do Kwama next if possible :D
Alaberga! An NthApple AND a Synonymous vid in the same day???? Christmas came early 🤗🤗 great vid m8 as always
You picked a good topic for your first vid!
Its especially difficult because there's no fast travel
Please make more Elder Scrolls lore videos. I would love to see videos about Daedric artifacts.
Well this is a pleasant surprise
It would be so cool to see a couple Silt Striders in Hammerfell, just to confirm the theory about Dusty
Morrowind really had one of the best travel systems of any game I've ever played.
this was very interesting thanks for sharing
Great job!!
Honestly, if the Emperor Parasols were the silt striders' primary food source, that would explain why they evolved to be so tall in the first place.
I think they're adorable.
"Want to ride the shoopuf?"
Excellent video!
Damn, we're doing Elder Scrolls lore now? Nice
now do an 8 hour video about Lorkhan
I just started playing morrowind for the first time so this is an epic win
Woooowooooooooo (silt strider noises)
Yo it's the guys. Dudes
Put some respect for our boy St. Jube for the eradication of the cliff hangers
If I remember correctly, Neloth mentions that he released some Silt Striders when he arrived on the Solstheim. Although, we don’t find any in-game apart from Dusty.
Cool!
Bwtween the Silt Strider I saw in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC, and the Netches, I still haven't forgotten about ol' Solstheim.
Elder scrolls lore now too? Yes please
In before he has his profile picture updated to be both ES and Fallout themed.
Oh goodness, What a wonderful surprise.
daggerfall content or I riot.
just me, rioting like crazy
Love Silt Striders, all my 6th House Homies love Silt Striders.
Yoooo my favorite the Bus living thing
This man is the best of the best
LET'S GOOOOO!! Elder Scrolls lore hype.
oh god, what if those noises they make are actually screams because they've been cut open like that?
Oh cool elder scrolls vids. I like em

Holly f*ck we need this please stick with it
My dumb ass thought this was a fallout lore video. I was incredibly confused
Bethesda will never make a game with an environment as amazing as Morrowind ever again.
I remember those from Morrowind! so cool
I need more content to feed my lore
Pretty good video, I prefer fallout lore but I will watch this content too.
An elder scroll video on morrowind??? I'm gonna bust 😩😩😩
The music in the video reminds me of elsweyr

As long as your open to lore corrections, I’m super zealous of my lore
Have you heard of the high elves?
The cliffracers weren’t killed by the eruption of Red Mountain, they were hunted down to extinction by St. Jiub the Eradicator, the guy who wakes the player up at the start of Morrowind
Cliff racers and cliff striders are 2 different creatures.
@@Synonymous101 never knew that 👍
I’m sorry silt striders. I HAD to kill Vivec. He was coming right towards me! I had no choice it was self defense!
God I love morrowind. Ill never find the time to play 😢
Can you do a vidieo on subnautica animal lore
They are cliff racers, not cliff striders. They were actually hunted down to extinction by St. Jiub, the dunmer that wakes you up on the ship in Morrowind. Cliff Racers are different to Cliff Striders. Racers were made extinct by Juib, while Striders were made extinct by Ash Blight.
I welcome more elder scrolls
