Megan! as someone who also has the glaze issue going on, I found that asking the person who loads the kiln to look and see if there is a better place in the kiln to fire your piece helps. Sometimes the placement of the piece in the kiln affects the color and cracking in the glazes. Maybe talk to the studio technician and they can help you with that! I enjoy watching your videos, so much inspiration and you really work hard not just in design, but in packaging, organization, planning, recording videos.. you do a lot of things and that is awesome. Great thing is also that you share other artists' works like gifts. Really great content for other artists, can't wait to see what you will create in 2023!

Hi! not sure how you do your ceramics but i always put my underglaze on before i bisque fire the pieces. This may help with the smudging! it also may not help lol ceramics are really hard! i use Amaco velvet underglaze
cone 10 redux is just like that ;-; good luck on your experiments!! i gave up on trying to replicate midfire oxidation and just embraced the redux qualities! maybe u could try more simple designs w/ wax resist & dipping in studio glazes? e.g. one dip. wax resist a design. second dip. orr if u are really chasing vibrant colors & crisp design/control.. assuming the studio uses electric kilns for bisque, i’d see if you can buy(?) a firing & fire your own glaze kiln at cone 5-6 :-) firings are surprisingly easy, if it’s not a super old kiln w/ a kiln sitter!! you’d have to switch clay bodies but the colors are worth it!!!!! ok anyways thanks for sharing your making w/ us, it’s always so fun to watch ^-^

I will say maybe a precaution for all the upcoming cal shipments is a do not bend sticker/stamp just bc mine was hotdogged in my mailbox and it messed up the wiring and bent all the pages😭💔I know it’s not ur fault at all but I just don’t want anyone else’s to get smooshed like that. I still love it so much and so excited to use it!!
