Important video that shines the light on the role of big banks behind rainforest destruction and Indigenous rights violations, in spite of their own social and environmental policies that should prohibit them from financially supporting someone like PetroPeru. It's about time these banks started funding solutions to the climate problem instead of enabling companies to keep drilling in the Amazon!

Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this important matter and for supporting the Indigenous Peoples of the Amazon rainforest to advance their rights and hold corporations, governments and financial institutions accountable for their impact on our climate ✊🏼🌳

So infuriating to see the corporate abuse and bank complicity!! Wishing the leaders all the best in their travels ❤

This is a really important topic and one of the greatest change levers is private sector financing! Imagine if all the finance that is causing destruction was diverted to restoration and indigenous rights protection instead. So glad you collaborated with Amazon Watch - one of my favorite nonprofits with an amazing team.

Gracias por ayudar a mostrar la importancia de la autodeterminación de los pueblos indígenas en la lucha contra el cambio climático. Es algo que las organizaciones amazónicas han pedido por años!

So much of the Amazon has been destroyed already. It’s scary. Action is needed.

Thanks for bringing attention to such an important topic and to these Indigenous leaders resisting the destruction/violence/climate chaos of the oil industry for their territories and for the whole planet we're with you!!

I love that Isaias highlights how science has proven that Indigenous peoples are the best stewards of tropical rainforests, which regulate the climate of our entire planet!

Everyone who sees this is likely a client or potential client of these banks. That matters. We must use our collective voices to demand they change and spread the truth about their investments so there are consequences. We know the oil industry sees climate activists as its biggest "threat" the same should be said for the banking industry.

Yes exactly! This is why divesting away from these institutions is powerful!
