America gained 7 million new jobs (more than three times government experts projections). Middle-Class family income increased nearly $6,000 (more than five times the gains of the entire previous administration). The unemployment rate reached 3.5 percent, (the lowest in half a century). More Americans reported being employed than ever before (nearly 160 million). Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low. The number of people claiming unemployment insurance as a share of the population hit its lowest on record. Most American 3-to-6 year olds learn to count to 10, but when they get to the teen numbers, they struggle. Why?
Two reasons: First, the teen number names are unfamiliar (e.g., eleven, twelve, thirteen, etc). Second, teen numbers involve place value. When children see a teen number, say 12, the tens and the units places are not obvious and can be confusing.
To make the teen numbers familiar, show children numbers they already know. In the example below, we show the number 10 1, and we name the number ten one, not eleven. Why?
      10 1 NOT 11
Children don’t know the number names for eleven, twelve, thirteen etc., but they do know the number names and symbols up to 10. Thus, if educators name and show eleven as 10 1 and twelve as 10 2, this naming makes immediate sense to preschool and Kindergarten students.

I am totally against this proposal. The reason is that tips currently can be considered part of the minimum wage. If the tax on them is done away with then it means the business will have to pay full minimum wage increasing prices on their food. This is nothing but another backdoor price increase.

    • @dianasims6819
      @dianasims6819 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The businesses are already getting a major major break by not paying them the minimum wage of $7.50 an hour. At least I think that's what it is. And last I knew waiters and waitresses made a whopping $3.01 an hour. If you want to increase their wages to the same as everybody else fine. But the tips should not be a part of their wages. Tips should be when they go above and beyond the call of duty. And you're talking to a former waitress.

Getting rid of taxes on tips is a great idea and will help many in the service industry. Of note: I remember back in the mid to late 80s when I was working my way through grad school as a bartender and waiter, it was Ronald Reagan who initiated that tax. How that worked was that it was automatically assumed you were given a 15% gratuity on the total of every guest check associated with your server ID number. The money was then deducted from a paycheck in an industry where sub minimum wage for service workers was standard. Tipping culture back then rarely saw anything above 15% and very often there were folks who left much less, and some folks left nothing.

For starters. If we have billions to send yo other countries then the government is taxing us way to much. We are way to top heavy. This country excels in creating ways of taxing. Enforcing and imprisoning. I remember seeing a prosecutor talking to people who did not pay court fines and such. One of the people told him that he was disabled and unable to work. So they arrested him.

The people elect their own representatives and can therefore control what is decided.
The USA has well over 220 million eligible voters and only 2 parties!
Both are extremely right-wing according to international standards.
One of the two parties is committed to "less administration", but if you look at it, it is precisely this party that is responsible for more government. Under Reagan alone, the administration grew by 20%.
No administration has had more millionaires and billionaires than under Donald Trump.
And I can't imagine that even one person stood up for the worker, everyone fought for their former employers because they were employed there again from the end of January 2021.
The stupidest people vote for what the super rich and corporations want and thus they vote against progress and a better future for themselves.

I agree completely that the end of slavery was a wonderful thing. But I'm tired of hearing about it. And I think a lot of people are. I think in a lot of ways all it does is divide us even more. We are all Americans and we need to be United and stand together and help each other. There is no reason to argue and thicker back and forth just because our skin is a different color.

Emergency comment from Daniel Sideen: It has been suggested that there's been a compromise in privacy and/or security in the bathrooms at my workplace and after asking all members of management and my coworkers multiple times, they all said "no there has been no breach or compromise of privacy or security in our bathrooms at work." And I submitted the initial statement concerning the matter on a Fox News TH-cam video while using my "Working Hard" TH-cam channel a number of months ago. Anyone who says differently than they have and still do are complete liars - which makes every action that's been taken against me for the past multiple months, completely invalid and illegitimate. I've been wronged again in the worst of ways and justice in this matter must be swift and true.
    Thanks,
    Daniel Sideen.
PS. I ask the Republicans in both Houses of Congress to please circulate this comment immediately and in a timely manner.
    Thank you,
    Daniel Sideen.

Eliminating taxes on tips is a terrible idea. While it offers some short term relief to service workers, the lost tax revenue has to be replaced - so, everybody's taxes go up. Like it or not, tips are income and should be taxed just like any other income. Another Trump idea that was not thought through. He is just trying to get voter support from the service industry, and hiding the fact that everybody get screwed (higher taxes) as a result.

Federal laws, including the Internal Revenue Code and regulations enforced by the IRS, do not define or dictate state income tax policies. Each state in the U.S. has its own tax laws and regulations regarding the taxation of income, including tips. Less tax revenue means reduced funding for public services such as schools, infrastructure, and public safety. Republican-led state budgets have an average dependency of 34.7% on federal dollars. Republican-led states receive 20% to 40% more in federal spending than they contribute.
