this is my favorite version of genzano, the lines are truly danish with a very nice purity of style. there is something very special about watching bournonville danced by danes. plus both of them are so strong and cute at the same time!
I prefer Rose Gad Poulsen and Alexander Kolpin in this pas de deux. Kolpin is a true Bournonville dancer and has more personality and stage presence than the other male dancers here,
Just looking at the female variation, this isn't my favorite, her musicality makes my head hurt and some of the Bournonville style is missing, but this is the first version I've found where the arabesque is done correctly. Bravo! 👍🏻👏🏻 And really, from an audience perspective rather than a dancer one, this is an absolutely gorgeous interpretation. 😘😍👏🏻
Bournonville is more difficult than it seems. Unlike Petipa or Russian style, his dancers moves forwards and backwards combining small, quick and precise "batterie" footwork, with sudden big steps and "grand jetes" , any dancer can tell you how hard it is! Music: Bournonville style is also different. Some of his "up"-steps are done on the "down" beat. The only problen in this video is the orchestra rushing Strebinger ... The dancers are fantastic! Finest showcase of pure Bournonville style.
I agree Bournonville is not about spectacular jumps or turns, you need to tell story in the most natural(non ballet)way but i have seen better than this guy, look at Thomas Lund,Johan Kobborg,Peter Schaufuss...you still need a nice jump and beats to do good bournonville
They are as light and beautiful as a pair of butterflies in a garden and perfectly matched. A pleasure to watch!

the music and video are not synchronized properly. Makes the dancers seem unmusical. they are surely not
Genzano è bellu perchè è fattu a ferru de cavallu
His muscles are so tight
Dancers are good... BUT the dancers and the music are out of sync, MAJOR PROBLEM...
