- Here's a look at my trip to X Games 2023 in Ventura, California with my group of friends. Had a ton of fun hanging with everyone and putting a run together that got me into finals. Everyone killed it and I think this event was by far one of the best in recent years.
The level of riding is insane and it has me thinking, should this be my last X Games park event?
You and Kevin were the only two guys that looked different from everyone else. That’s a good thing in my book. 👍🏻 Keep up the good work man.

X games needs diversity in riding. Seeing a 720 double whip is confusing to non-bmx people. Seeing a bike over foot plant everyone knows is rad 🤘
I watched the Park contest, you definitely held your own out there with the pups. I've watched all the competitors ride for years, and consider you to be the best overall rider to have ever picked up a BMX bike. Real talk!

im younger (25) but watched you ride back from when you had the original gyro setup in the streets to you now having two bikes etc etc - you pioneered (as well as others) modern day bmx, genuinely one of the best to ever touch a bmx bike, all to say that you shouldnt stop now - please

Trip out I remember you from like a little over 10 years ago when you came to ventura to ride our dirt jumps, I was just a grom and you encouraged me to hit the big pack so thanks for showing locals love! Definitely cool to see you've maintained a solid career and definitely would be appropriate with your current riding level to continue these events for years to come, thanks for the inspiration Big D! lol much love brotha!!!! yewwww!!!

I hope you continue to ride in park. Yours and Kevin's runs were the ones I was most excited to watch at X Games this year. A near perfect mix of Originality, Style, Flow, Burly, Tech, Tricks and most importantly FUN!! Keep on keeping on.

Rode a ton in the 80s and 90s. Back then every contest was a means for everyone to push the sport forward. It was such an exciting time because there was so much possibility. You are the same kind of rider, constantly doing something new or looking for ways to reinvent something simple or complex. We couldn’t imagine half of what’s been done but, what I love about your riding is the enthusiasm you can see when it goes that much farther. Contests are never a good science and I can’t tell you some of the shit I saw Kevin Jones do in a parking lot in York with 5 of us BITD. I can also see how that course might not have been the most inspiring, esp. with some of the videos you’ve been posting as of late. In the end, it’s that feeling when on your way home, you revisit the thing you did, that seemed impossible or terrifying, or…. Also we all stayed in Super 8’s, 10 kids to a room. You’ve living it and an inspiration to many.

Kieran, Logan and a few of the others are super skilled and amazing riders but in my opinion are one trick ponies. Just spin spin spin, either bars or frame or both. Its like watching ice dancing at the winter Olympics. You and Kevin bring so much variety. A pleasure to watch. Please don't let this be your last X-Games.

I remember riding with you back at Woodward west. You still got that unique style and fire and I think it was the last x games or the one before that but I swear you had the gold medal run. Speed, style, AND big tricks all packed into one!

Personally, I’d love to see you in next year’s X Games. Your riding style is amazing. You may be older than most of your competitors, but you can definitely still hang with them and show them a thing or two.

I appreciate all styles of riding but man you and Kev were a breath of fresh air. I liked what Kieran was doing too, it’s just nice to see some variety out there. I wish they’d invite Watts or something too. Either way, stoked X Games is making a comeback

I second the comments about your runs being unique - Appreciate the young guns have huge aerial tricks but to watch you lace together a completely different run sets you apart from the rest. Ride for as long as you physically can man - you kill it!!!
I feel that xgame Park is now next level. Having Dennis there most definitely made it more interesting. The lines were more creative and the boys went big.

I just found your channel a few months ago. It was cool seeing you in the xgames. Everybody was riding so good. Those gap tricks were crazy. Nyquist is so funny. I think you should keep doing xgames until your body can't handle it.

You need to hit it up next year man, such an unique eye for how to structure your run I always love to see it, we either get the burly park/technical park riders but your the only one who can mix them

Keep competing! Only riders that really stand out any more is you and Kevin. Everyone else is doing a lot of the same stuff but you and Kevin do what you love to do and make it look good.

I say look at the next x games course if possible and make the judgment if you think it’s worth going to the next x games. Either way you have a one of a kind style that’s a pleasure to watch and you’ve got good history at x games.
Xgames is the best contest for your riding style. You make everyone watching happy. You need to do it next year if youre healthy
