Now the Wireless 2.4g version of 8BitDo Ultimate has official support for Apple and Android devices via bluetooth. Bizarre, isn't it? It seems that this capability was present all along, but disabled by a firmware option. This makes it more versatile than the Switch version.
Well yes, but is not via bluetooth, is via 2.4 using the adapter. In my opinion the Pro 2 is still a better bet all around, but for a Mac only the Ultimate Wireless would be almost as good. Maybe better because of the lower latency.
If u ended up purchasing the rog ally. Did u get the 8bitdo ultimate to work with the 2.4G dongle ???? Can't seem to make it work . Controller only works in Bluetooth mode with the rog ally
I really love this video, first one to compare all the stuff 8bitdo has. I think android makes sense for the 2.4ghz because it's compatibln with linux devices
Well yes, but actually controller compatibility on Linux is more similar to Windows than Android. It's just weird thinking on an android controller without bluetooth.
Which one of the two, the ultimate 2.4g or the pro 2, would be more comfortable/ergonomic for small hands? Thanks for the review and thanks in advance xx
is the SN pro 2 is compatible with the switch and PC at the same time using bluetooth ? I want to be able to swtich from my computer and my console without re setting everything at the same time. Thank you for your work !
For racing games. Which controller that give more comfortable in trigger precision pressing? Because in my country pro2 and ultimate wired got same price. So i need advise. Thank you
Ahh, I wish they'd make an "ultimate" version with the shape of the SN30 Pro. It just needs a dock, 2.4ghz dongle and hall sensor sticks and I'd never buy another controller again.
Ah cabrón este está en inglés! I´m sticking to the pro2, late to the buying party but still attractive... we need an update to the pro2 with mech face buttons now
Congratulations, you're the first complain about my accent. Took a lot more time than I thought. It's all right. I'm making the videos to practice. You can use subtitles if you want. Thanks for the comment.
@@0totech Just ignore that comment. Practice will bring improvement, for the moment your English is already well enough to understand what you say. Great video by the way!
confused would like to take pro2 cntroller or ultimate wired. whick pro i loved the retro design and also easily apply with the playstation layout absolutely its multi platform but no dongle unfortunately, than also like ultimate wired bcz with cable less delay and look premium hhehhw. hhhmm could anyone suggest me which one is better? for budget around there prices ty btw great review brother 👌🏽
Thanks for the comment. It really depends on what you will use the controller. If it's for android, skip the Ultimate, go for the Pro2. But for Windows or Switch either will work, and the Ultimate Bluetooth has better sticks. Thanks for the comment.
Would be nice if you could compare all your controllers for input latency!
Yes I'll try to make a list. But I have to test all first.
underrated. very well detailed review when it comes to controllers. subbed!
Thanks man.

With this update, I am undecided between the Pro 2 and the Ultimate Wireless 2.4g to use on my Apple devices.

Great review, new fan, subscribed!
(seriously dig the accent btw! 😄😄)
As always great reviews man. Love your work.
Glad you like them!
Your reviews really rise up the level of controller reviews. Which is great because almost all are mediocre at best.
Thanks for the comment.

@@0totech i think that's fair.
I use my 8bitdo controllers on the android input, it's usually the one that manayes to connect with my linux laptop
I wish the Ultimate had the same connectivity options as the SN30, but you would need to buy both the 2.4Ghz and the Bluetooth version to get that.
Very good review. The one thing I’m wondering is if you plug the ultimate bluetooth with your cable to the switch, does the latency decrease?
It should, but I don't think it would be more than 2 ms. Unfortunately, I couldn't test since the Mister didn't detect it.
@@0totech I see, well thx for the info
@@0totech Do we know if the ultimate bluetooth has less lag than the standard nintendo pro controller?
Best reviewwww. Imagine a war between all companies that have "pro 2" controllers
Jaja. Well yes, and this guys really made a weird decision with these ones.

Sure. You just have to pair each, and then is just the changing the switch on the back. It stores one device per protocol.

Both have almos the same travel and feel equally good really. If you play on PC or XBox, consider the wired ones. Those use Hall Effect triggers.
Can Forza be layed with the DPAD on the pro 2 instead of the joy stick????
Yes. You can swap them using the Ultimate Software. Thanks for the comment.
@@0totech thank you sir. subbed and liked.
Hi! Is it safe to leave the 8bitdo ultimate controller in its charging dock even if it's fully charged?
Safe yes. It stops charging. What that would do to the battery long term, I don't really know. Thanks for the comment.
@@0totech Thanks for the info!
I ordered the pro 2... did I mess up?
No you didn't. I like it mucho more than the Ultimate Wireless. Thanks for the comment.
Should I buy the Pro 2 or DS4 controller?
Your reviews competes with those from gamer heaven. Keep it up
Thanks, will do!

hey awesome video! Could you do a rounding test on Microsoft controllers for margin of error comparisons? thanks
I can tell you. Microsoft controlles have about 8% rounding errors rate. The Elite 2 have even more with 10%.
Great video. You deserve more views. Thanks!
Thank you too!
EXCELLENT review. Subbed to you.
Thanks for the sub!
Fantastic video thank you.
Any idea about latency for the ultimate controller using 2.4ghz vs a Xbox controller using a windows wireless adaptor?
Xbox's seems to be a little lower (6ms vs 9ms). Check this page they have a big database. rpubs.com/misteraddons/inputlatency
@@0totech thank you!
good marketing strategy. they want us to buy both lol
Awesome review. Keep it up!

Being rude is much worse than a bit of an accent
I wasn't being rude, I honestly couldn't understand him. I thought I had to tell him. So that he can work on his pronunciations@@Snoopitsa0405
