- Las Vegas Raiders coaching news is official, as it was announced that the Las Vegas Raiders hired Chip Kelly to be the next Raiders OC under new head coach Pete Carroll and Raiders GM John Spytek. Raiders OC rumors have been heating up recently & their were some good Raiders OC candidates this hiring cycle. Mitchell Renz host of the Raiders Report is breaking down the latest NFL news & Raiders rumors around Chip Kelly. The Raiders fired Luke Getsy last season, so hopefully the new Las Vegas Raiders OC does better than Josh McDaniels, Bo Hardegree, Mick Lombardi and Scott Turner.

Chip Kelly??? didn't he fail in the NFL?? didn't he quit mid-season in the NFL?? I don't know if anything is going to be any better, it appears these are band aids for the short term and not really adding up to long term!!! Carroll gone in 3 years and we'll be right back where we started plus i'm sure some coaches will leave when carroll leaves. Still no elite franchise quarterback that we need for the next decade or two!! Offense gets you to the Playoffs, Defense Wins Championships it's not a secret!!!

I'm so damn excited about the new Pete Carroll Era. Full disclosure, Seahawks transplant here in Vegas, but I've always been a Raiders fan from back in the Hawks AFC days. I loved Pete as a coach, and will always be grateful for what he did for the city of Seattle, and the whole Seahawks Ora. The Raiders are as down as I've ever seen them, and it's painful for the team, and the city of Las Vegas and all of Raider Nation. Pete Carol is going to make everyone not only believe again, but he's going to go get that Superbowl the Seahawks left on the field. Pete Carol is going to bring Raider Nation a Championship. Believe it.

Idk about you but Mariota with chip Kelly would be just as great Mariota looked like a heisman all years under him but he didn’t win it until mark helfrich was the HC still Mariota looked amazing when he was playing this year for the commanders

@WilliamMorrison - You make a good point that Pete Carroll will probably be the HC for 3 or 4 seasons. If their DC stays over that period, he would probably be elevated to HC if and when Carroll retires.

For the draft, I like Howard/Dart as QB pick 2nd or 3rd round … and Jeanty with first the pick .. and then get another RBs in 3rd or 4th round ..

I don't know what to think. I'm excited about the possibilities of this staff and dream of what they could have done with Carr, Jacobs, Renfrow, Waller, etc. But I'm also pessimistic not wanting to get my hopes up because we're in a hellacious division without a QB. But the future is bright

I'm 💯 ok with Carroll over Ben Johnson. The Chip Kelly hire is aces and I absolutely LOVE retaining PG. Looking at the free agent money, I'm going to guess that we'll have over $100 million when we let some people go. Now we know why Pete had such great optimism.
I do not want chip Kelly anywhere near the possibility of being a future HC for the Raiders
