At 1:03:31 When selecting what to copy with the mimic in M3G1 I think the manticore was a better copy. You could've sacrificed any of your creatures to deal the final 2 points of damage.
wow I hopped in a traditional draft yesterday and ended up with a simic deck that looked a lot like this, I actually really liked it in BO3 even though I ended 2/1. In mine I had a bring to light and K&P Nalaar with linvaala and that 7 mana green 6/8 with reach and kill a non-creature nonland permanent. Simic seems way better in BO3 than it is in BO1 and allows you to play against different archtypes with different gameplans, with the most access to useable sideboard cards that actually impact the game. Great vod and good luck this weekend!
@DieEnteable it was actually good, however I was a ramp oriented deck so that helped me cast it on turn 5 most games. But I had a target for it every game luckily. One thing I needed to note was I was only running one forest in my deck so I often didn't have a target in my library to get. I wouldn't run it in bo1 but bo3 it was an easy board out if I needed to while being a threat on the board late. Over all I tend to run into less aggro in bo3 and this card seems to actively good against mid range and controlling decks as they usually have an important target or two.
@@TheBieza What's an example of good targets? Green and white have a handful of Auras but I can't think of any relevant non-rare ones in the other colors. Guild summit maybe? But I can see it in Bo3 out of the board.
@DieEnteable in most cases it is probably best out of the board, in my deck i was lacking a top end without it as I had 3 two drops that ramped me. However as for targets you are correct that there are technically not many, however when there are targets they tend to be very valuable as most of them are rares/bombs. If that isn't the case, anything bestowed becomes a target which has been much better than I thought. Example targets not in white or blue(likely just playable against those two colors as they have often have valuable targets/suck vs reach 6/8): outpost seige, chromanticore bestowed, assemble the legion, whip of erebos, dictate of erebos, bestowed nighthowler, ordeal of perphoros. Depending on what your deck needs/is weak against this card can belong in either sideboard or main board but when it does provide value it can stabilize in situations just as well as other cards with similar effects, while also being a big body that doesn't need to sit in your hand later in the game.
@@TheBieza Cool, thanks for the insight! Always tricky to figure out how good non-bomb/obvious rares are, because you either have to take the leap of faith and pick them early because people tend to pick them higher than they should or you never see them.

Yep - someone else pointed that out too - I just missed it. My bad and thanks for bringing it to my attention!
I was yelling at the screen
Always excited to see a Ben video!! Thanks for uploading
Love the Ben draft on the channel, I know you guys stream all the time but I love the youtube format where you don't have to interact with chat
ggs always a pleasure to see Ben Content. would copying heart-piercer have done the job there? Tough spot!
Oh snap! I totally missed that. You’re right!!
would LOVE to see more ben drafts on the channel
Ben is so chill. I admire his calm demeanor during drafts.
I love this deck so much. Simmic never disappoints
That was fun. I usually do terrible drafting green blue, but this was nice to see.

That big green reach creature seems just bad to me, how did it play in the games?

Ben draft for the win!
48:30 "Do we want infinite 5/5s out do we want infinite 8/9s? I think we want the 5/5s." Like, what exactly were you thinking there?
Let's go aqueous form 👏👏
Aqua ftw. savage.
