Question, can you talk about the ughor genocide? (AKA the silent genocide) also, for people who don’t know, just look it up.
Suggestion: it would be interesting to inquire on how deep is the influence of extremist rabbis and their ideologies on the new IDF recruits. I've found a few articles prior oct 7 already talking about this phenomenon and it seems to mirror what happened in Gaza (and in the West Bank). Is there a link between these extreme rabbis and the indiscriminate killing of civilians we have seen unleashed against the Palestinians? These people preach on the basis of Palestinians not being human and it seems their message of hate has made deep inroads into the IDF and Israeli society.

There is so much misinformation about the Uyghur situation on both sides.
On one hand, the figure of a million people being detained is completely made up, and English language outlets often encourage Uyghur refugees to exaggerate their stories - there's a similar issue with anecdotes from North Korean defectors (not that stories from these groups are never valuable)
On the other hand, China has openly passed laws suppressing Uyghur culture, and the leftists who eat up their excuse of "anti-terrorism" would (rightfully) never accept it as an excuse from the USA or Israel.

A part of me gets upset at this comment, but then the logical part of me remembers that the system is a sham; despite claims of democracy and freedom, it's riddled with corruption and bribery and American citizens don't actually vote for their leaders. It's makes no difference who they put in front of the American citizens. It's all a farce. We consistently have to remind ourselves that American citizens are subjugated in a sense of themselves. We all need to be ashamed and apologise to the Palestinian people, American or not. Western or not.
Horrible situation where the president you have to vote for (Biden), is enabling what is happening in Gaza. Yes, Trump would be as bad or worse, but that doesn’t make Biden’s grave mistakes less so. And guess what? We have the same in the UK. We have to vote Labour (or it feels like that anyway), but Kier Starmer has been very wrong about it too, as well as the Tories.

It's so important to give people like Gideon Levy more airtime on platforms, even if just to show people in the West that not all Israeli's are complicit in the atrocities Israel is committing.
