Any other Terran (byun) would've lost game 1 to Dark by overcommitting with their bio... Gumiho made the right decision to outmacro Dark rather than crash against his shell
Dark almost never wins in a straight up, macro-vs-macro battle of attrition, the way Serral does. He uses tricky, under-handed, dirty, unpredictable and surprise tactics to undermine his opponent's position. He takes advantage of what his opponents think they know, and hits them with something they couldn't have seen coming. Only then does he close the trap, and close out the game.
8:40 if this attack happens like 10-15 seconds later theres a 0% chance he doesn't GG because the marines woulda got 2-2 mid fight before they were in danger
The problem is the research time it takes up on the engi bay and unironically the 1 unit of resources the upgrade costs as well. Ppl dont realize but terrans nose is already pressed to the grindstone imo due to repeated nerfs over time without every single unit and every single upgrade as early as possible whatever it is you are trying to do probably just wont work
God every time I watch TvZ I remember how broken this matchup is. Ghosts counter literally everything Zerg can possibly do late game. Snipe is way too energy cheap, one EMP >>> 5 infestors. Lurkers are just expensive snipe targets that never actually hit anything because their spines take 12 minutes to reach out. basic mineral dump marines absolutely shit on roaches that are upgraded above them. everything...it's just.... so broken.
Except the truth hurts... at tournament level TvZ is still Zerg favored 😂 That being said I wouldn't be against taking some power out of the Ghost and buffing something else, like the Liberator.

Gumiho has such a great early game defense every time I watch. He can literally defend with just 1 marine.
Dark is amazing, and im a die hard fan of gumiho`s weird builds! adds a lot of flavor to the games.

Honestly I think building armor bunkers are super underrated. Get 2-3 full of marines and they can hold a huge push
