  • And here's the final song from the arcade soundtrack for San Francisco Rush 2049 and the second extra song from San Francisco Rush 2049 Tournament Edition, Wingey.
Recorded using an unorthodox and somewhat convoluted method:
-Raw samples ripped from a San Francisco Rush 2049 Tournament Edition hard drive dump and looped for 15 minutes
-Individual audio channels split up into an Xbox 360-compatible 5.1 surround video file
-Final output recorded off my Xbox 360 S using the on-board video player to downmix the surround audio to stereo and apply a virtual surround effect
If you would rather have a straight stereo downmix, post a comment, and if I get enough requests for it, I will upload an unlisted pure stereo downmix from the raw files.

Even in the dreamcast version and the Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for GameCube was quiet something

This is the best of the 2 new music tracks in Rush 2049 Tournament Edition and Special Edition! Thanks for posting even though my comment is late!

I suppose Michael Henry also used Fasttracker 2 to make this and used the same synth plugin for this song, as I notice some similar elements. One noticeable feature is that the pitch is half a semitone flatter than Barry Leitch’s “Night” counterpart.

He definitely used the same sample libraries as Barry used. So weird this song is a bit flatter, I never noticed when comparing. I wonder how good a remixed version of Night with the pitch adjusted and a few instruments from this one added would make it sound?
I gotta try reaching out to Mike again. It would be so cool if he still had his masters saved to share with us.

A slightly altered version was used for the Night track in the N64 version., in place of the original arcade Night music.
