Y’all, we need to understand that Michigan is committed to academics - not just sports. Some of the players leaving may have academic challenges that wouldn’t allow them to see the field at Michigan, especially players from the South where high school education is too often subpar.

I’m from the south and we transferred up North I was ahead not behind. BS argument. Problems with schools are in the school not the whole damn south. Of coarse my son just brought his kids back down to go to school

@@taxisquad11 you can do all of that, but some young folks are still gonna struggle - especially with the pressure of competing for a starting spot. Pressure at Michigan is different, and if you are a marginal student it might expose you. Just something to consider.

UM’s NIL situation is just fine. Quite large actually. Michigan just makes players earn it which some players/recruits don’t like.

I think our NIL is fine. We just aren't giving bags to kids who have never played a snap for us. We also had a lot of coaching turn over on the defensive staff. It sucks we lost momentum after winning a natty but we will be ok.
It's not fine...we just lost Marquise Davis to KENTUCKY of all places...Michigan NIL is clearly a joke
@MaizeMadMan Kentucky is paying people who have played zero snaps. How has that worked for Texas A&M? Kentucky is irrelevant and Davis will regret his choice. Also, our insiders are constantly hyping us up acting like we are going to land everybody but we don't. If Sam Webb says he have a guy locked down, he isn't coming here lol.

He would not start right away at Michigan given our current RB room. Once he did start he would be getting 20 plus carries a game.

All we're seeing is backups leaving. Yes, they were good backups but call me when we actually lose a starter. Anyway, we'll start seeing some competitive players coming in to challenge for reps in the Fall. They need guys that can come in and at least compete for backup reps - players such as Amorion Walker and/or CJ West. I'd say adding a receiver to compete for the fourth spot behind Morris, Morgan, and Frederick and adding another rotational piece at defensive tackle are the biggest needs, but adding some depth and athleticism to the secondary wouldn't hurt either. I think Walker would fill that hole there left by Waller Jr. They could maybe use a swing tackle to compete with Persi for that spot as the team's sixth or seventh lineman with G/C Raheem Anderson, but sometimes you just have to roll with you got and what they've got didn't look bad at all in the spring game. There is a lot of youth waiting in the wings and Coach Moore might want to start getting those guys reps whenever they can.
At any rate, getting Zvada is one of the best gets THE TEAM could have gotten in the portal. It's stupid to even argue otherwise. They needed a kicker. Kickers are always among the top scorers in the nation. James Turner was 32nd in the nation last year in points scored so it just shows someone's ignorance if they make light of that commitment.
Why did Amorion leave in the first place though???
These guys don't want to wait their turn. Most of them have never sat on the bench, in college, everyone was the BIG DEAL in High school
He was buried on defense, thought he could play at ole miss, suppose to be coming back as a reciver not a CB is what I've read.
