The team was gaining steam when allegedly Ric Flair helped put a stop to the momentum by speaking privately to Ted Turner.
We also talk about the 13 months Bart spent wrestling for Vince McMahon in WWF/WWE. What were his expectations before heading to New York? Why didn't he go earlier with partner Ron Bass and what did Vince tell him was the reason he made him a jobber.

I was obsessed with NWA/WCW wrestling when I was 8-13 years old. They came to my hometown every couple of months, and we were always there. One time Black Bart was wrestling Sam Houston, and there was blood everywhere. They were using chairs, and at one point BB hit SH in the head with the bell. I was terrified; I 100% believed BB was about to kill him in the ring. I was crying; begging to leave. We didn’t, bc RNR Express was the main event. Anyway, for years that was one of a couple examples I used to “prove” to everyone wrestling was real. It was to me, and I can picture that match like it happened last night. Thanks for the amazing, often traumatic, memories.

I got Bart's autograph. I got it in February of '85 in Tarboro, NC at the high school. He was in the main event with Manny Fernandez. He had JJ Dillon with him the night. I got Manny's autograph as well.

15:05 when Bart says Dusty wanted him to get a hair cut and says it takes a long time to grow a beard. I thought Dusty was going to ask him to do a hair vs hair match when he complained about him having long hair. "your the one who told me grow it in the first place!"
Yeah I thought the same thing. If you had long hair for a long time, it makes no sense to shave it off unless it's a hair vs hair match. Why not sell some seats if you're gonna shave it anyway? Outlaw ron bass did it when he lost a hair match to beefcake on sat night main event

When he talks about Windham & Rotundo having to carrying around a trophy in Florida. The u.s. team title in CWF there was a trophy? (plus or instead of title belts?) I know the WCCW and JCP 6-man tag team titles were originally trophies.
*Yea, if you look at the old videos from the CWF, the Zambuie Express carried around a trophy that represented the championship.*
Third Change of horesman Barry came in after he turned on lex and there was flair, Arn,Tully and Barry probably strongest four at anytime.

Hate to rain of Bart's history, they never lost the Mid Atlantic tag team titles. Yes him and Bass broke up and feuded. But the title history ends after them since Dusty and Crockett were pushing to go national the titles were abandoned after their break up.
He didn't say they lost the mid-atlantic tag team belts. The belt he's talking about losing to Terry Taylor was the NWA WCW belt he held in 1985 immediately after him and Bass broke up. 1:34:00

Some of it was flying. Nearly every old school shoot talks about how many miles were traveled and they all say 8k - 10k per week.

1986, George Wythe Highschool gymnasium, in Wytheville VA. Black Bart vs. Sam Houston. Black Bart was the Mid Atlantic States Heavyweight Champion 🏆 I'll never forget that match, I've always loved, and to this day, is my favorite wrestling belt of all time! Loved this shoot!

Bart seems like a great guy, but I think he was lied to about the tv series and Ric would have only went to Turner over Heard and not Bart
No way in hell World Class & the Von Erichs would be the end all/be all today on wrestling if this "superstation" deal was a yes. The Von Erichs could barely put together a coherent match, Fritz was stuck in the past worse than Jim Cornette is today, and the largest arena they ever filled was the Sportatorium.
You must be young. Literally everyone that was huge in WWF came from WCCW. The ultimate warrior got his start as the Dingo Warrior in WCCW. Vince initially wanted Kerry Von Erich to be next in line for the belt, but his accident changed that and the Ultimate Warrior took his spot because he looked like Kerry. The Von Erichs were so big that Rick Flair had no choice but to drop the belt to them, once. If you believe the only sell out shows they had was at the Sportatorium, then you're definitely too young to know what you're talking about. They filled football arenas back in the day. 50,000+ at Texas Stadium was a bit more than the Sportatorium could hold. The attendance was actually 50,123 on May 6th, 1984. To put that into perspective, Wrestlemania 1 didn't happen for another year on March 1985. It only pulled 19,121 people. 30,000 people less than what Fritz was getting, and fritz didn't have 1/10th the budget Vince McMahon did. So yes, had WCCW got the television contract, there'd be no Vince McMahon today.
