Here is a fantastic collection of French model cars made by Jouets Mont Blanc. My models include the Citroen SM, Citroen Mehari and Citroen GS. Watch to the end and check out the clever road sign on the toy catalogue cover. Please 👍Like👍 and Subscribe. Thanks for watching. 👍
Citroen SM.... A technological masterpiece. i did have this model as a child in the seventies and I knew at that time it was a window of future motoring. Maserati engine and French body, and it worked together well. Maderati's from the Citroen ownership years were brilliant.
Thanks for this Mark, I was actually thinking about asking you for some more model car content. I recently scored a 1:18 XB Coupe in bits and I am having a wonderful time getting it together, painting it and sourcing interior bits for it. Mate I gotta thank you for all of your videos through 2024 and your replies to my mutterings. I will take this opportunity to wish you and yours all the best for the festive season.
Nice to see the models, Mark. Back in '91, on a UK trip, a mate in London lent me his GSA Pallas to drive around for three weeks. Very entertaining it was too, particularly its suspension party tricks! 👍
Lovely 'little cars' Mark. Wish I'd kept my old cast models, all sorts of cars, military stuff etc etc. Corgi & Dinky were the best from memory. Happy Christmas from Canberra. 🎉
@@UncleJoeLITE Thanks very much. Yes, they were terrific. Like the Batmobile review I did recently, they have actually re-released a stack of old Gorgi and Dinky toys, including replicating the original boxes. Maybe you should buy a selection of your childhood favourites and put them in a glass cabinet to admire and think of the good old days. 👍
Hi Mark, Nice model Citroen SM they were a cool looking car, never heard of the French toy company Jouet Mont Blanc, the only French toy car company I know is Majorette I got a few of there models only there small cars and were in competition with thew likes of Matchbox, Corgi , Dinky and Husky. Like the Citroen Mehari and the GS French Police car. When I was younger must have been in 1976-77 I had a Triumph 2500 Pi UK Police car remote control. Great video on the SM, maybe more models again I do like a Model and toy cars. Catch you soon take care
G'day Mark. Another awesome video! I've heard of the Citroën DS and SM. I've only seen one of each of these cars. For some reason, Citroën has never sold well in the USA.
@@jasoncarpp7742 Thanks Jason. They just announced they are not selling Citroens here either after selling them since the 1920’s. A shame. They were very poorly marketed here. All the best for Christmas 👍
@markbehr88 Thanks. It's crazy that a car company would discontinue production. We haven't had Citroën in the USA since the 1970s and other French car companies since the 1980s.
@@markbehr88I didn't know that - I blame the well known importer - middle man - the French need to save costs and be DIRECTLY involved with their importing and advertising and customer service - never understand why they commit and then leave without learning anything. I thought the new C5 X was brilliant and I thought they were bringing in the hybrid version - very sad - I suppose we are all going to be driving Chinese - 😢
Can’t stand French cars myself. My thumbnail is an indication. 😆 Mark, I recently sold my Corgi collection of about 100 models through Doningtons Auctions earlier this year. I got my first Corgi in 1965.
@@user-qs4xw7ye5s They are doing a 1:18 Landau (I have ordered the blue and the gold plus told the shop I will buy one of each colour for future releases), so maybe they will do a ZD Fairlane? I do have a 1/43rd scale Trax one. 👍

Nice models. There's certainly something about the design of the Citroen that is fascinating
