Switching the roll axis to the joystick twisting z axis feels so much more natural and fluid, leaving the full X/Y axis to point yaw and point the nose/targeting. Takes a few minutes to get use to, but once you do, you'll wonder why you ever used the z axis to yaw left and right.

I use a simple Logitech Extreme 3D pro joystick with the G-13 gaming pad with thumb stick... It's freaking bawls!

    Hello,
I have seen your videos on youtube, but I still don't understand, how to do (configure) it on my own. Would help me, to configure my joystick? I have a x56 (not the blue Rhino, the black one) and I play "Elite: Dangerous". Before the x56, I had the x52 and everything was configured well. But with this joystick, I have my problems.
Although I have activated Flight Assist, the ship seems restless. If I move the joystick, nothing happens at first. Only at a certain point, the ship reacts. But then too hard. As a result, I find it difficult to "calm down" the ship, especially when I'm rolling. It affects the RX and RZ axes, rolls and tilts. The joystick itself is in perfect condition. It's just a question of the right configuration. And unfortunately I find no good guide in my language (German). I think it has to do with deadzones, sensitivity and adjustable curves (in the Logitech tool). What I want is for the ship, if it reacts once, not to react abruptly, but the intensity of the reaction increases the farther I move the joystick. Can it also have something to do with "analog" and "digital"? I really need help with that. I already have a problem getting out of a station without causing an accident. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with that.
    Kind regards

Wait, I'm confused. Is this for a CONTROLLER or a JOYSTICK? Is this one of those things where in the USA they mean different things but over in the UK the mean the same? Like with lollipops and ice pops?

contoller and joystick are interchangeable if you're talking about a joystick, but this can be for both just set binds to your liking.

+Keith Jasper Excuse me: I have a problem: despite that my joystick is set right control wise, I have a BLOODY huge deadzone (while the Deadzone ingame is turned off).
I have to move the stick like crazy far before my ship reacts to the point I am steering, which results in a poor performance on my part.
Do you know how to fix this, brother?
      Thank you beforehand.

+Xogroroth666 i too have problem with the deadzone that doesn't come from the driver calibration. I think it's from the game. Did you find any fix for this?

Hell yes, ingame: unplug the joystick, and plug it back in: this will calibrate the stick ingame for you. :)
      Hope this helped, my friend!
If not, throw me a note here.
