Sometimes I think the bars we set for artists is just ridiculous and often extremely ridiculous and missing the point of art. Nikki's new album is a masterpiece in its own right. I could listen to her scat for hours.

Her mentors have done her a disservice by not teaching her stage presence and etiquette. I have seen recent videos, also. She still doesn't have the etiquette learned. Yes, unless you are singing without accompaniment, it's good etiquette to say "WE'RE going to do a song for you". When a musician does a solo, either be near them (as in standing at the end of a piano), calling attention to them or move into the shadows and out of their limelight. Thank you.
