Laurel has issues, she wants to be friends but doesn't know how to connect with females. The look on her face when Carma & Tori talked about the growth & respect they genuinely have for each other. She envy's their connection and desires the same.
Just remembered how everyone wrote Jenny off after she got an asthma attack in the Aneesa elim. They all thought it was a cardio issue but she poetically went on and won the season.
I can admit I was one of those people! I thought for sure Jenny would crumble under the endurance but she fought through and I give her mad props and a new supporter.
I am seriously sick of Laurel. She just gave up this season and quit, probably because she wasn't keeping up with many of the other women, and she is toxic. She likes to put people down so much, it takes any enjoyment out of watching. She's always trying to come off like the "good" guy with her friends, but this season she didn't have hardly any and so she quit. I think she knows that without other people keeping her safe and backing her up, she has nothing. I hope they stop asking her to come back, she's not worth it and is seriously overrated in the most recent seasons.
In regards to the final, I like that they incorporated more water into it, but I wish it could have been more of an equalizing final. If someone isn't a good swimmer, they are screwed. Maybe they are great at long distance running or hiking, maybe they could row or paddleboard, maybe they are excellent climbers. I would love to see a final that includes a bit of everything with timed checkpoints. This would allow people to make up time on the good areas and lose time on bad ones. Something more like a decathalon type of final that requires someone well rounded in order to win. There was no question Jordan was going to win this one, so it was a little boring to watch. I like to see the players actually compete. And to see someone have to showcase their brains, strength, speed, balance, climbing, swimming, diving, biking, iron stomach, running on no sleep and exhaustion to still come out on top, that is exciting! It shows what a overall athelete should look like. I know I couldn't do a lot of those things all together, that's why I like watching. A little bit of drama mixed with sports and challenges, that's what makes it fun.
Because she wasn't going up against women who were recovering from pregnancy(ies), menopause or obese gossip girls like Veronica. If she had to go against Cara straight up, she would have been destroyed.
Laurels comment about "Saving Cara from her relationship with Paulie" is so off based, they have not been friends for years, Laurel doesn't know anything about their relationship to making comments like that.
Josh is the definition of what not to do in the challenge, he always play a emotional game and never serious one he had to have everyone love him and he can’t handle when someone in the house calls him out or says “I don’t like you” like he always needs validation and it’s just cringy at this point he plays like big brother and never change his game play when coming in to the challenge
The only one he doesn't like is Wes. Also Bananas is right, he becomes the whooping boy for the vacay alliance. Jordan does the same thing, but nobody called him out, it's because everyone can get away with going off on Josh, but do that to Jordan and there will be consequences.

No way is Rachel a GOAT over Cara Maria, Evelyn, or even (I hate to admit) Crazy Camilla. None of her challenge wins are has impressive as the wins of the girls I mentioned
@@juliecombs1022 I disagree with you on that one. 4 challenge wins in 8 seasons, he made the finals in 6 of them. Only finals losses he has can be blamed on the teammate he had to run with. He has twice as many elimination wins than losses. And he’s doing all this with one and a half hands. Only CT and Bananas are above him, but you can make an argument that he did more than either of them did in his first 8 seasons

@ Sarah won Exes 2 stacked cast and dominated Rivals 3. Emily dominated Rivals 2 and has only lost one elimination. Laurel beat nany and Devyn simone. And was handed her all stars 4 win, her resume isn’t that impressive.
Yeah the reunion and season as a whole was okay for me but I definitely feel this in how LONG they dragged 40 out. It's horrible. Also All-Stars 5 episodes are only going to be an hour long per episode so it's not going to be long in that way.

Great way to end what was the most competitive season in Challenge History. First, this season was hands down the most competitive group of women ever assembled on the Challenge. Additionally, I'm glad Tori & Cara patched things up; but in my opinion, I think that they had a competitive beef with each other more than anything. Also, Laurel did not look good this season; she pissed off quite a few people, gave up during a purge daily, and sabotaged Emily- I believe that Emily would've made the final and given Rachel & Jenny a tough time. Secondly, Drew is spot on with the analysis of Josh. Moreover, Josh is a fence-sitter and is always in a position where he owes too many people favors or makes deals that he can't uphold. Furthermore, Josh & Laurel hooking up was a surprise. All in all, good season; Jordan dominated (and is definitely on the Mt. Rushmore of male challengers); Rachel is definitely good( but I have Evelyn as the goat);Bananas deserves his credit for making another final and winning money; and hopefully Kyland will improve in future challenges to come.
Laurel is really an awful person. And it's so obvious that she's pretending that she's over the Cara Maria thing when in reality she can't stop from showcasing this ugly, childish rage against her. Her bs answer in Part I, like "I wish her the best & that's the end of it" and then the weird, catty comment about "Bananas should date her to save her from Paulie" in Part II. I'm 95% convinced she's a full blown sociopath at this point.
This season started out SO STRONG, almost too much drama with Laurel and Cara and then all that disappeared and it was like it was another show. This show would be so much better if it was several episodes shorter. I would like to see finals with more competitors. I was enjoying the final, so happy for Michele and then after seeing the results of the Karma points I felt that production totally shot itself in the foot with gifting Rachel first place, stealing $200,000 from Duck Lips and $75,000 from Michele. So in other words the season started out So High and ended So Low.
right most of rachels confessions was about how she’s right behind this person or this person and she’s trying to keep up. It just doesn’t make sense. And I don’t remember her winning a lot of daily challenges when the house did become individualized.. to be honest the fact that she got the goat title lets me know They are not in touch with the audience
Good that Cara Maria and tori are now the best of friends overall and I just love to see it overall just amazing to see after the past history of them not liking each other.
I really tried to look for a way to defend or rationalize Laurel's actions, but it's hopeless. She was so cringe on the Reunion episode, and I really hate that word, but I can't think of any other way to describe her behavior.
I think laurel actually had some mental issues. She hasn't grown up and matured at all. She is getting worse with her anger and reality TV is not helping. She acts like a child with issues and need serious help but won't accept it or change. Her and camalia are the worst ive seen from the woman side. Anessa is horrible and toi needs a break for me. She wasnt that bad this season but her emotional manipulation is exhausting. Always with the "woe is me"

While the volunteering made certain parts a bit less interesting, it did make sense in a team setting. Since the elimination winner had to target someone from their own team, just helped to lessen fights within the era. It would have been fun for someone to say "Thanks for volunteering, but no, I'm picking this person."
Laurel really got under my skin. I chalked it up to the editors making her look particularly bad, but after watching this I feel justified in my anger towards her

To throw gas on the GOAT debate, I created a stat to determine how well each person has done at dailies. Basically, it calculates how many daily wins each person has versus how many daily wins each person is expected to have. (i.e. If you do two dailies split up into two teams, the average competitor will win one and lose one. If you do 10 solo dailies against 9 other people, you would expect to win one of those dailies) So the average competitor has a score of 100. Rachel has a score of 93. She's below Amanda, Katie and Easy E. Obviously, this has nothing to do with elimination records, Final records, etc. BTW, the top man is Evan at 181 and the top woman is Kaycee at 153. This is for people who had 5 or more challenges. Or else its the woman who got kidnapped by the Island of Trinidad and good ol' Adam R.
I don't have a problem with Jordan being named the GOAT. He did win the 2 biggest stacked seasons with Dirty 30 and 40. He beat CT in 30 and Bananas in 40.
I think Jordan IS the goat for the men. Individually, he has beaten both CT and Bananas. Yes CT beat Jordan and Bananas on Rivals 2, but that was a team game. If Jordan is in the final, he’s pretty much guaranteed to win

Nah Jordan is amazing and still has many wins ahead of him for sure, but stats are stats and duration definitely takes a part; love him or hate him, Bananas is the GOAT of the Challenge, CT second, Jordan third. This will change at some point, but not yet.

I agree with Jordan's comments about Era 1, its hard to defend a team that was damn near wiped out by the midway point, and the only person left won the season because of a vote and not performance. The VA segment just went around in circles. I find it hilarious that Cory wasn't even there yet he got more screentime than people who were. Tony was just pathetic lol If he wanted to go home he could've just lost to Leroy or quit, no need to bring down Averey with you. I'm glad that she had that incredible moment. All in all, I enjoyed the season. We will probably never get a cast like this again. Final congrats to Jordan & Jenny for their wins.

I agree with Nehemiah and Tori that Vegans shouldnt be descriminated against. Like they could literally go into cardiac arrest if they ate large amounts of meat after not comsuming it for years. Their bodies arent used to it and they will reject it. I am vegan for 10 years now and i get terribly sick everytime the barista accidentally puts dairy milk in my latte instead of oat milk. If i had to eat several pounds of raw meat, i would probably drop dead right then and there. And even if they dont have a heart attack, theres no way they can run a final as well after that. Its totally unfair to sink their chances of winning. And im sick of fans saying that becuz vegans and vegetarians like Diem and Nehemiah were forced to eat meat in past seasons, that its only fair that they make them eat meat now. Ridiculous mindset. Overall I think 40 is a mid-level season. Im going to wait a couple months then rewatch the entire season over. At the moment I’d say a B-. The Derrick v Jordan moment was the highlight of the whole reunion

I personally don’t think there is a GOAT on the women side. There’s a lot of potentials either due to some great challenge wins or moments or lack of seasons but definitely no goat. I think the closest person I’d consider a goat if she had maybe 5 more seasons is Emily or if she continued more seasons Evelyn.

I have never missed a single episode of a single challenge, real world, or road rules until now…I also watch reruns constantly… (For Me, My Opinion) it was the most boring season of all the shows, ever. In regards to the final, I like that they incorporated more water into it, but I wish it could have been more of an equalizing final. If someone isn't a good swimmer, they are screwed. Maybe they are great at long distance running or hiking, maybe they could row or paddleboard, maybe they are excellent climbers. I would love to see a final that includes a bit of everything with timed checkpoints. This would allow people to make up time on the good areas and lose time on bad ones. Something more like a decathalon type of final that requires someone well rounded in order to win. There was no question Jordan was going to win this one, so it was a little boring to watch. I like to see the players actually compete. And to see someone have to showcase their brains, strength, speed, balance, climbing, swimming, diving, biking, iron stomach, running on no sleep and exhaustion to still come out on top, that is exciting! It shows what a overall athelete should look like. I know I couldn't do a lot of those things all together, that's why I like watching. A little bit of drama mixed with sports and challenges, that's what makes it fun.

Yeah the reunion and season as a whole was okay for me but I definitely feel this in how LONG they dragged 40 out. It's horrible. Also All-Stars 5 episodes are only going to be an hour long per episode so it's not going to be long in that way.

For what season 40 was supposed to be, with all the hype and the stacked cast, this season was honestly a let down. This season doesn’t even crack top 10 for me.

Great way to end what was the most competitive season in Challenge History. First, this season was hands down the most competitive group of women ever assembled on the Challenge. Additionally, I'm glad Tori & Cara patched things up; but in my opinion, I think that they had a competitive beef with each other more than anything. Also, Laurel did not look good this season; she pissed off quite a few people, gave up during a purge daily, and sabotaged Emily- I believe that Emily would've made the final and given Rachel & Jenny a tough time. Secondly, Drew is spot on with the analysis of Josh. Moreover, Josh is a fence-sitter and is always in a position where he owes too many people favors or makes deals that he can't uphold. Furthermore, Josh & Laurel hooking up was a surprise.
All in all, good season; Jordan dominated (and is definitely on the Mt. Rushmore of male challengers); Rachel is definitely good( but I have Evelyn as the goat);Bananas deserves his credit for making another final and winning money; and hopefully Kyland will improve in future challenges to come.
I think the funiest moment from the reunion was Bananas saying he voted Josh and Kayce as a GOAT😂

Laurel is really an awful person. And it's so obvious that she's pretending that she's over the Cara Maria thing when in reality she can't stop from showcasing this ugly, childish rage against her. I'm 95% convinced she's a full blown sociopath at this point.

This season started out SO STRONG, almost too much drama with Laurel and Cara and then all that disappeared and it was like it was another show. This show would be so much better if it was several episodes shorter. I would like to see finals with more competitors. I was enjoying the final, so happy for Michele and then after seeing the results of the Karma points I felt that production totally shot itself in the foot with gifting Rachel first place, stealing $200,000 from Duck Lips and $75,000 from Michele. So in other words the season started out So High and ended So Low.

And I don’t remember her winning a lot of daily challenges when the house did become individualized.. to be honest the fact that she got the goat title lets me know They are not in touch with the audience

I really tried to look for a way to defend or rationalize Laurel's actions, but it's hopeless. She was so cringe on the Reunion episode, and I really hate that word, but I can't think of any other way to describe her behavior.
I think laurel actually had some mental issues. She hasn't grown up and matured at all. She is getting worse with her anger and reality TV is not helping. She acts like a child with issues and need serious help but won't accept it or change. Her and camalia are the worst ive seen from the woman side. Anessa is horrible and toi needs a break for me. She wasnt that bad this season but her emotional manipulation is exhausting. Always with the "woe is me"

While the volunteering made certain parts a bit less interesting, it did make sense in a team setting. Since the elimination winner had to target someone from their own team, just helped to lessen fights within the era. To throw gas on the GOAT debate, I created a stat to determine how well each person has done at dailies. Basically, it calculates how many daily wins each person has versus how many daily wins each person is expected to have. (i.e. If you do two dailies split up into two teams, the average competitor will win one and lose one. If you do 10 solo dailies against 9 other people, you would expect to win one of those dailies) So the average competitor has a score of 100. Rachel has a score of 93. She's below Amanda, Katie and Easy E. Obviously, this has nothing to do with elimination records, Final records, etc.
BTW, the top man is Evan at 181 and the top woman is Kaycee at 153. This is for people who had 5 or more challenges. Or else its the woman who got kidnapped by the Island of Trinidad and good ol' Adam R.

I have mixed feelings about Rachel. She can be a mean girl. However, I was impressed with her being able to stay when she was the only person left from Eras I. It was fun watching her politically maneuver in the house and she earned going to the final. At this point her confessionals were getting very arrogant, very cringe, and the snobby comments about other players were coming out. Rachel earned her third place finish. It is absolute CRINGE how she does not acknowledge how she got awarded first place. Amazing how you can start the season rooting for a person and end the season totally disgusted by them.

The VA segment just went around in circles. I find it hilarious that Cory wasn't even there yet he got more screentime than people who were. Tony was just pathetic lol If he wanted to go home he could've just lost to Leroy or quit, no need to bring down Averey with you. I'm glad that she had that incredible moment. All in all, I enjoyed the season. We will probably never get a cast like this again. Final congrats to Jordan & Jenny for their wins.

Jordan is definitely on the Mount Rushmore of greatest Challenge Players ever. Along with CT and Bananas. Not sure who the 4th would be. Darrel is great just not sure he fills that 4th spot.
Landon is the guy who should probably be on that Mount Rushmore along with Jordan, Bananas, and CT.
I agree with Nehemiah and Tori that Vegans shouldnt be descriminated against. Like they could literally go into cardiac arrest if they ate large amounts of meat after not comsuming it for years. Their bodies arent used to it and they will reject it. I am vegan for 10 years now and i get terribly sick everytime the barista accidentally puts dairy milk in my latte instead of oat milk. If i had to eat several pounds of raw meat, i would probably drop dead right then and there. And even if they dont have a heart attack, theres no way they can run a final as well after that. Its totally unfair to sink their chances of winning. And im sick of fans saying that becuz vegans and vegetarians like Diem and Nehemiah were forced to eat meat in past seasons, that its only fair that they make them eat meat now. Ridiculous mindset. Like u just want everything to be terrible forever or else its "not fair" to those who suffered in the past
I hope that Josh can be friends with other people next season and not the vacation alliance they blame everything on him
Josh is better of with amber B Rachell bananas Kaycee will always take fessy over josh Tori is the only person he should stay friends with and I say that because of S37 when va turned on her because she was going hard to protect her guys on new team She knows how it feels
Overall I think 40 is a mid-level season. Im going to wait a couple months then rewatch the entire season over. At the moment I’d say a B-.
The Derrick v Jordan moment was the highlight of the whole reunion
Super random, but the show "Special Forces" gives me what the Challenge used to (challenge wise).... this season drained me lol

I used to think Laurel was a BEAST at this game but ever since she started messing with Nicole she hasn’t been the same. She used to be unbeatable!!!!! In the last couple of seasons she has been unfocused, obnoxious and is throwing challenges and quitting!!!! WTF 🤬 She was always robotic and aloof when building friendships with others. I didn’t mind that before because she was kicking ass and taking names, but now girl you aren’t winning challenges and well let’s be real . . You aren’t even trying to! Idk 🤷🏾♀️ why did you come?!

I personally don’t think there is a GOAT on the women side. There’s a lot of potentials either due to some great challenge wins or moments or lack of seasons but definitely no goat. I think the closest person I’d consider a goat if she had maybe 5 more seasons is Emily or if she continued more seasons Evelyn.

I think there is a difference between playing shady and being a shady person or playing dirty. Josh i dont think is a shady person, but his game is. And thats ok because so is wes and bananas abd soo maby others we love or love to hate. Now someone like fessy is dirty player je how he was with nelly rubbing his friends face in dirt. Laurel a shady awful person.
But people can both love josh and think he played shady. Its not a bad thing
Super Boring Season! I have never missed a single episode of a single challenge, real world, or road rules until now…I also watch reruns constantly… (For Me, My Opinion) it was the most boring season of all the shows, ever. I just caught glimpses of important content and then watched the finale and the boring reunion.
As far as Jordan being the male G.O.A.T…absolutely not! That is a slap in the face to C.T. and Bananas!
