If I remember correctly, Layne was somewhere with his daughter (maybe a skating rink?) when the movie version of the song came on over the loudspeaker. The movie had just come out and he was surprised to see how many people already knew it and rushed to do an arrangement. I had just become a VoicePlay patron got spoiled by how quickly this got millions of views, LOL! It is a genius arrangement that pays due homage to the original and yet somehow actually improves on it, in my opinion. They were invited to do it live at a Disney private function a while back, so even the Disney corporation knew they had done an outstanding job on it.
Her name is Ashley Diane (Rosa) - and while she came into the VP fold via Cesar (you need to see her first video "If I Were a Rich Man/Girl"), no, she and Cesar are not married - or related. 🙃
Don't feel too bad about missing little things or even somethat seem to just stare you in the face until someone points it out. I'm still finding things in their videos that I've seen thousands of times, and still don't know how I missed them the first thousand watchings. We can thank Ashley Diane for "princess" Geoff. It was her suggestion that he made the wardrobe change and Geoff was a great sport and agreed 😄😅🤣😂🤣🥰 Thanks for your reaction 😊
@@RandumbTom I would also recommend, maybe in the same reaction as Running Up That Hill, that you watch their version of the Stranger Things theme :) it's one of their short videos, but even with how brief it is it's jam packed full of unbelievable talent that just sounds amazeballs

After I watched Voiceplay's version, I checked out the original. I also checked out the version done during the Academy Awards. They would have been better off having Voiceplay perform it there, too. If you like Disney, and even if you don't, check out the Little Mermaid Medley. Trust me!!

You should react to the the Og's of acapella "Pentatonix" . They pretty much made it possible for inferior acapella groups to get somewhat popular even though they aren't on the same level as Pentatonix. So voice play really should thank Pentatonix for any success they had and have even though it's Miniscule in every way to Pentatonix. Pentatonix has very small amount of other artist they featured with because Pentatonix doesn't need to have other artists more famous people then Voice play to actually sell out large venues.
I love Pentatonix---and VoicePlay and Home Free. You don't have to put Voiceplay down to elevate Pentatonix, they are completely different groups with different types of acapella. It's just rude and unnecessary. All 3 groups are fantastic, and they are all so different from each other that you can't compare. Pentatonix has plenty of guest artists with them---Voiceplay does it when they are short a member. Pentatonix, along with Glee and the Sing-off are all responsible for bringing acapella into the mainstream, but Voiceplay has been a group since 1997, they don't need to thank anyone.

I never once said everyone should not like them. Not everyone deserves a trophy. You have every right to praise as I have the right to criticize.

Constructive criticism is one thing, but to just say, "they suck, Pentatonix is the best" is just rude and so juvenile, are you even an adult? To come to a video just to say nasty things about the group is just unnecessary, I don't go to groups I don't like just to be negative. Go walk in the grass barefoot, absorb some nature and discover how much nicer it is to be positive.
