    I've never listened to a single ABR song, ever. Not for any particular reason either, I just never have. From the guitar and bass tone, to the awesome production value and cleanliness of your playing, I had to leave a comment saying good job; I also think I might give this album a listen now, some of those riffs sound too good to keep avoiding.

      PsychoR ABR is my all time favorite. Definitely worth checking em out! Their songwriting is some of the best in the game.

      I just finished listening to the whole album from start to finish. It's a nonstop head banger. ;) It might sound weird, or maybe not, but I hear a lot of Trivium influence in their sound. Either way, I really enjoyed listening to it. I guess around this time I was really into Killswitch Engage and '80s era Ozzy stuff, haha. Thanks for the recommendation!

      Yeah dude if you've never listened to them before and you're into chunky riffs, sweet ass breakdowns, and just all around great music, you have to check them out. They are one of those bands that you might not listen to for years and every time you come back, you get hooked all over again. ABR is timeless.

      PsychoR
      ABR has inspired me to begin learning the guitar. Never heard a band with such amazing guitar riffs, the drummer Matt Greiner is also easily one of the greatest drummers on planet. You have to listen to all their albums, multiple bangers on every album.

    Have the same guitar for a about a week. I can’t believe how good it is, and for that price it’s beyond me. So tight and brutal sounding, plays like a dream. To be honest I’ve played many guitars, but even out of the box it needed very minimal adjustments. I really like the modern look, my wife is normally really picky about guitars (and how they look) but she says that I never should sell it in the future.
    Nice playing, myself I’m more into polaris. But abr has really nice riffs as well.

    How would you compare that guitar to an MiJ Prestige Ibanez? Hows the fretwork quality and leveling? Any buzzing issues? Any frets sticking out from the sides? What about the bridge?
    I really want to buy this model and trying to get as much feedback as possible. Thanks. Great compilation and playing btw!

    • @rootedmusicrecording
      @rootedmusicrecording  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Henry14arsenal2007 I’ve actually never played an MiJ, but this guitar is excellent! Intonation is great, bridge is solid, frets level. perfect for Drop C. Very minimal buzz, I replaced the nut with a TUSQ XL and it has worked great for me to get rid of the little buzz that was there. A very well made guitar.

      @@rootedmusicrecording Yeah, it's just a simple picking pattern on consecutive frets 5-8 (pointer on 5, pinky on 8) on consecutive strings D-C, and then for the shift you just pull off your pointer and pinky and pick the same pattern with those top and bottom strings open. I think it's probably on songsterr.com if you really care.

    Honestly, you play that little pre-breakdown riff in meddler cleaner than JB does at times. Especially the harmonized alternate picked part that resolves the riff. That part sounds so good on the album but sadly doesn't come across nearly as well all the times I've heard it live. If people don't know what I',m talking about, you hear that part at 5:27 the first time.
