Great! My grandfather served in the 6. Fallschirm- und Luftlandedivision and fought and died in a small village near Carentan. I think it was called Tilly, if I‘m right. From where did you get them and do they ship them to Germany, too?

do the zippers on those jump smocks work? if not can you at least stuff the pockets?

Yes, the zippers work and you can put things inside the pockets that are real.
