Just got this on XB. I was so looking forward to this game but was disappointed when I got it! Even on its hardest setting it's fairly easy and the whole game can be finished in 10mins.
not true, unless you mean you did a non-complete run without doing more than one loop, need to beat the game without using a continue, then beat the next loop
@@functionatthejunctionyep, anyone who thought it was easy didn’t notice they died 60 times and didn’t reach 2nd loop, it actually can do 6 loops I think
I was pretty apprehensive about buying it because of previous Zebra Engine issues (I didn't buy any of the old Cotton games, but I did get Guardian Force) and have no way of testing, but it feels 1:1 with MAME. I was playing Batsugun all day yesterday. I'm very happy with it and have no problem recommending it.
@@gooberstankable of course, I have many of M2s releases, just saying that 25 USD plus tax and shipping aint too bad for a Saturn game that costs way more AND you don't need any Japanese Saturn to play it.
@Andrew Butler fair enough, it just doesn't hit that sweet spot for me. $10-15 is it for me for a game with this presentation. I'll do $40 for a Cave physical, and have them all nearly but for $30 I'll just play Batsugun on Mame
Just wanted to say thanks for keeping up with this series! Its always a treat when a new Shoot Em Up Saturday pops into my feed. :)
448 episodes and going strong ^_^
Nah bro Type B is amazing, so satisfying!
Type B is best!
Don't get me wrong. Type B is awesome, but it's almost too much visually at level 3
They should update all their Saturn tribute games so the zebra engine can improve their previous releases
Glad its a solid port, will buy it now i think. Still might wait a few days to see what Mark MSX says about input lag first tho.
It's around 5-6 frames afaik. Tolerable for me, but I'm gonna wait for M2 to port the arcade version.
@@GojiGuy 6 on Switch. 7 if you use a USB arcade stick. It's 5 on PS.
Very cool 😎

@@psychoticgiraffe "need to beat the game without using a continue, then beat the next loop" That's the true ending condition?! What a ball buster!

How's the input delay ?

5.5 frames average on PC, so probably a frame or 2 more on console. An M2 port should drop in the future if you would rather wait.
@@morsalty There's no way this has 6.5/7.5 frames of lag.
Can’t even buy this on PS4. It’s listed, but can’t add to cart.
How's the input delay feel? I'm wondering if their emulation has improved in that regard, or if it still has several frames.
Unlike the Cotton titles I didn't notice any unusual delay. It played very smooth.
@@fitaurus1 Agreed. Seems perfectly fine to me. If it didn't, I'd be the first to complain.
$30 is absolutely insane. Should be a Toaplan collection for that price.
Love Shmups but $30 for a game of this age is nuts imo
Cheap compared to Shottriggers
@Andrew Butler shot triggers ports often have extras, and zero latency. City connection has both of those issues

30 bucks for this? Give me a break... I have the exact same game for free in a Saturn emulator...
