I have had nothing but positive feedback from friends who have been to Algeria. Many have been pleasantly surprised by the welcoming of Algerians who don't see the tourist as a cash machines as it is the case in many tourist countries like Egypt or Morocco.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip in Setif. Sorry for your suffering with the nasty speed bumps on the road. They're indeed horrendous! We Algerians suffer on the road when we drive because of them. If you're into Roman ruins, I suggest you visit Timgad in Batna and the ancient Roman thermal baths in Khenchela. You'll be amazed. They're indeed majestic sites. Try to visit Guelma province to enjoy a fascinating experience with the beauty of nature, more Roman ruins and another wondrous thermal bath called Hamam El Maskhoutine. It's a giant Mutlicouloured travertine walls of hot water springs that have therapeutic and relaxing benefits. Enjoy and take much care.
