    So no heat? Also The fork itself should be made out of Silver? Nice video thanks.

      Hi Ken!
      Thank you! No need to anneal these, they are already soft. I’m using a silver plated fork. That gives it the look of silver jewelry without the high cost of sterling silver. Many people use stainless steel, too.

    What kind of tumbler do you use

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      I have an Extreme tumbler, Rebel 17 that uses stainless steel tumbling media (pins). It is a heavy duty tumbler, so you don’t tumble your flatware as long, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

      They are made by Beadsmith and they are heavy duty.

      Hi!
      I think you’re talking about the Bender Press. That is an attachment sold by Flatwearable (arbor press is separate).
      I got my arbor press at Harbor Freight.
      Let me know if that answers your question.

    Is there any coming back from a broken folk prong? (can't remember the correct name) 🤔

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Sorry that happened to you. You may be able to solder it if it’s already the shape you want it. You can’t solder and then bend, it’ll just break off.😞 Wish I could have been more helpful. (It’s called a tine🤗)

    Are these silver silverware or stainless steel silverware?

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      I’m using silver plated silverware. You can use stainless steel, it’s just a bit tougher to bend.

    You probably should have drilled the holes when it was completely flat,

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, I find that if the hole is drilled before bending, it will spread open and be too big and stretched out.😃

    What size would you say this one is....a medium? Or small? Do you label them different sizes

    i would be tempted to lay a peace of leather in that machine
    so it would grip the fork as your bending it
    preventing it from slipping
    just an idea 😊😊

    Ever think of annealing before bending? Makes the metal more workable

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do anneal, just not every time.

    Morning Jani.
    I live in Spain and would like to make fork and spoon braclets but I can’t find the mould you have to bend the forks on your arbor press . Any idea on a website that sells them ....
    thanks Troy

    Is it easier to anneal the fork before working it?

    • @JustJani
      @JustJani  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, annealing is what makes the metal easier to work with so you need to do it first.
