I bought a 1973 RX4 Coupe (manual) in 1975 and had it for 3 years. Only sold it because I had to. I thing that it was one of the greatest looking coupes of the period.

LOL I remember my mums mazda capella ( 4 pot ) .... ahhh rotarys .. I remember when RX7s and RX3 were new .. now I feel old ... old is GOLD !!! Sandmans , old valiants , manaros, RX7s ... brilliant.

wow, a survivor RX4, I bought one of the first NZ assembled RX2 in 1973, sold it 8yrs later with 40k kms and new apex seals.

What a coincidence. I bought a white 74 coupe around 1986 from a caryard on the north side of Brisbane that was one owner, sold new in South Australia. It was a TQ5speed, brown interior, had a towbar and also had factory air con and still had the 8 track. I had the car for about 15 years driving around the south side of Brisbane. I converted it to a 4 speed manual. It was very original except the motor and suspension and won a trophy or two for best original in some club shows in the 90's.
Something else also interesting is there's a still shot of a group of Mazda's in this video and there's a purple RX4 with what looks to be the plates I had on my RX4 - ORX400 ... wouldn't mind knowing if that's my original RX4 with a colour change!
