I saw these boys today and they are GORGEOUS!! I got some great footage of them playing and roaring. I'm thinking of uploading the videos on here so others can see their majesty! 🥰🦁🐾👑🌍
Welcome to the Windy City, you brave cats. They seem very comfortable in their new home in that exhibit. It's amazing to see two males (brothers), live together. I wonder what their futures will be like in the zoo and in the act of conservation (breeding and research). The circle of life of course, must be involved to preserve these two, long live the King of the Savannah. Keep up the good work of the staff at Brookfield Zoo.
Mazel Tov to Brutus and Titus with your new home, I live 65 miles north of Hogel Zoo and I am from Skokie area. and have been to Brookfield Zoo in the 1970's....So cool, beautiful Lions!!!😍🥰💕❤😊
Great content and information. You mention how lions in a pride hunt and what they eat. Would bachelor pairs traveling in the wild have different hunting methods and diets?
Just stunning new boys! Being brothers, would they fight with each other...maybe over a female? Or do they realize they're brothers & stay out of the way of each other?
Welcome to Brutus & Titus. They are beautiful boys. Just to add, male lions are forced out of their prides to stop them from challenging the elder males for dominance of the pride, and to stop inbreeding. They form "coalitions" with their brothers and cousins, who in turn will fight the males of other prides in takeover attempts. If there are cubs in that pride, they will kill them, and as soon as possible, impregnate the lionesses of "their" new pride. Insuring the bloodline is of supreme importance. Lions are truly majestic & amazing animals. If you'd like to learn more, check out The Lion Whisperer channel on TH-cam and Facebook. I've learned a lot from their videos.
Male lions travel in "coalitions" consisting of pride members, brothers and cousins born around the same time. They are forced out of their prides to stop them from battling the elder males for domination of the pride, and to stop inbreeding.
Wonderful video of the Lions very informative also. I was there yesterday they were both asleep. They are beautiful!

Thank you! That was really great and lots of good information! Can't wait to get back to the Zoo and meet the new guys!
How wonderful....."the boys are back in town" Blondie and John were the last brothers we had at the zoo but that was years ago.
