This is my first reaction ever on this channel. I am super impressed with this song/video by THE DOORS. I thoroughly enjoyed researching The Doors and sharing my findings! I definitely want to hear more of them.
Please excuse the quality of my video/sound as I am new to this. I had to take a break in-between recording, so that is why it is a bit scattered.
I recommend changing the video quality settings to 720p or 1080p.

This is to anyone who is watching this and my first few videos. This was my first reaction to this song. I understand that the sound and video quality are not the best. In fact, It looks and sounds like it was filmed in the 50s. 😆
Momentarily, I do not have the fanciest equipment.
There is only ONE first-time reaction, and this is mine.
I wasn't going to record a brand new one just to get the perfect reaction.

Also love em as a kid in the late 70s early 80s. My tastes changed over the decades but nice to hear em again.

Hi. Great song! You're very pretty🥰 The reason why the song was short is that back then, AM radio wanted the songs to be short so that listeners wouldn't have to wait so long between songs

@@AmarissNevae There are so many ways to go down that remarkable rabbit hole. If you would like a beautiful, heart-touching ballad, start with "Here, There and Everywhere." For a quick, cool up-tempo number, try "Drive My Car." For something truly cool and more esoteric, there's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."
Whichever way you go, I bet you're going to have a joyous romp. 😊✌️

Not to be critical but since it's a new channel, I thought I'd give suggestions. Looks like you have a nice mic but the sound of your voice is really weak. Also the shaking camera makes me nauseous. I like the commentary, history, ghosts (spooky)!
I appreciate your critique. It really does help. The microphone that I have unfortunately picks up every sound, and I did not know that prior to purchasing. Sorry poor audio, try baffling your mic, your voice is harsh and brittle and grating. Also, you do far too much talking, but this video IS about you isn't it?
I did mention that it was bad quality and audio in the description. It was my first video, and I really had no idea what I was doing, as I mentioned throughout. No, it is about The Doors, and I was sharing the research that I read on them to give my respect to them as a band.

Seems that your new, and this was a great choice for a song/video. I hope you stick with it and grow. My suggestion for a song would be "Lowdown" from Boz Scaggs. It's off of the LP "Silk Degrees". Thank you. The cat was born to a wild feral mom cat outside. I finally tamed her after a few months. She was a wild kitten. 😸 Thank you for the suggestions. I love The Doors too so far, and the next Doors reactions won't be this quality. I'm getting more practice in each video. 🎼✨️🎼

When I worked in Vietnam, Thailand and see Asia, I used to go to Apocalypse Now bar in Saigon. HCMC. The theme song there, The Doors - The End. Next I used to go to Nha Trang. Mama Hanhs boat trip played the doors album and good morning Vietnam. Hope you can do Asia travel. ❤

Perfect first track to react to The Doors. If you wanna continue to explore their first album, "Light my Fire" (album version not radio version) and "The End" are the 2 stand outs, with "The Crystal Ship" if you want another. The studio recordings are best for introducing them imo. ❤️ Edit: when he sings "she gets...." the lyric is "she gets HIGH" but they had to mute "high" for the censors.

I know you did live Doors vids and this isn’t one, but I often think of something a member of the band said. When they played some large festivals, and the hippies in the crowd were dancing and swaying, they would just stop and sit in awe while The Doors performed. Apparently the group’s music had a much more mesmerizing effect.

I like how their music sounds relaxing, leading to a kind of pleasant hypnosis, with a cozy warmth in a sensual, romantic, exotic way... Jim Morrison had a highly artistic brain, he was an intense, deeply sensitive person and he managed to express his emotions in an impressive way in his music, lyrics, voice, performance etc...

@@AmarissNevae very intriguing, you can tell Mr Huxley was quite the fan of the psychedelics! Fav quote from it is “only through a prolonged, intentional derangement of the senses can one throw open the doors of perception and attain the unknown” I actually thought that’s what the doors were named after 😜 ya taught me something!
I will have to read this book. I'm sure it's probably based on both quotes. There's no need to limit it to only one. ✨️
