Been looking for a walkthrough for a while, so glad you made one. I'm flying out of SLC next Wednesday and am going to be flying by myself for the first and get anxious about places I'm unfamiliar with. Very helpful for anxious fliers. Better get some more walks in so I'm prepared to book it to my gate if need be. XD

I'm glad the video is informative to you. I think in terms of way-finding, the new terminal isn't too bad, since the concourses essentially run perfectly East to West while the underground hallway between the concourses goes South-North. The amount of walking you might need to do to get to your gate, especially if it's located in the B concourse is significantly longer than how it used to be in the old terminal at SLC though. So be sure to give yourself enough time or get help if you have mobility issues. :)

Thanks very much for this dose of reality!!! I'm flying out to SLC next week, knew they were modernizing the airport, but the amount of walking between ticket counters, gates and baggage claim is absolutely ridiculous / horrendous, especially for older folks!!!

It is a very nice airport. But there is a very serious mistake: you walk for a long time and no one ever offers help. especially for adults my mother came for almost 20 minutes from the arrival gate until she could take her luggage the suitcases were already lying in the office they must solve that.

I’ve been here before. However, it was only for a stopover and all I could see of the airport was a few B gates and the exterior while landing.

I've got 45 minutes tomorrow to hike from B22-A2. Won't have time for a leisurely breakfast on the way!

Those concourses certainly look a lot different than what they looked like before the big renovation. The ceilings are a lot higher than what they were originally, for a while.

It looks different because the old airport building has been demolished. This is a totally new structure.

@@sharonyoung563 I was wondering the same thing when I flew into Salt Lake City a day apart when they transitioned from the old one to the new one. I was like “that was fast!” Haha.

I knew I didn't want to fly for awhile anyway, but this is ridiculous for people with trick knees. How come no benches for people to rest, sort through their stuff, make calls. I'll stick with Amtrak.

There is a tram for the underpass that they don't show.. was there last week, also, the is another underpass under construction opposite the main security

No, there's not a tram. But you're correct that the central tunnel is currently under construction. It will be done in 2024 to connect A and B concourses.

They could have cut the time in half if they used the automatic walkways. I think it was done this way to show the airport better.
