I shoot with the Voigtlander 15mm Heliar on my film Ms with an external viewfinder. It's a wonderful lens. Hyperfocal distance on such a wide lens does indeed open up lots of freedom. I shot a whole series with that lens in downtown Toronto, Canada, all looking straight up at buildings with fog. Still some of my favourite photos of all time.

@@flofroschmayer They aren't online since I redid my website to be more minimal. I might go back and re-process them. I'm really struggling with how to share work. Instagram feels like an ad-infused treadmill, and other platforms are similar dopamine factories. I make prints and books for close friends and then sell work to businesses.

Well-done! I too, like to shoot upward vertcals, with an ultra-wide lens, mostly among trees, or other tall plants, but some man-made structures can be interesting. Another fun thing to try, with an ultra-wide-angle lens, is to shoot vertically downward, though it is difficult to keep one’s feet outside the frame. My widest rectilinear lenses are a 14mm f/2.8, for the Canon EF system, and a 14-24mm f/2.8 for the Nikon F-mount system. My widest M-mount lens is a Zeiss 18mm f/4 ZM. Generally, 20mm to 21mm is as wide-angle as I normally shoot, even when a zoom lens allows me to use a wider angle, but, occasionally using 14mm is fun.

I love the 14-24 from Nikon! Fantastic lens!

I think it could also be interesting if you use this wide angle lens for your behind the scenes work on set.
