MakeUpMLC The Kokomo brushes are a lot different, just the way they are made and what material they use. I already put some info together I would like to forward to you :-) I direct message you on Instagram. xo Cornelia
MakeUpMLC Oh and the Kokomo are not as densely packed together as the Takumi brushes. The hair is so different and I truly can say the Koyomo brushes are in terms of softness as close to a squirrel hair brush as you can get.
I recently purchased some Takumi brushes from Beautylish. The T-6 and T-7 eye brushes are soft and beautiful. The T-6 is pretty big for an eyeshadow brush, but it will be great for an all around one shadow application. I actually returned the T-3 foundation brush today. It's beautiful, but too similar to my Hakuhodo G5556 brush. TFS.
Thank you, Cornelia, for doing such a thorough, informative review. You really helped me in deciding which brushes to purchase. Well done! Thanks again.
Nyssa Ainley I don't like Sigma brushes unfortunately!!! Too expensive and after 1 year they have shed so much that they are unusable. This is my experience with Sigma brushes. If you want to invest in makeup brushes, Japanese ones will be your best bet :-)) xo Cornelia
Better late than never Cornelia! I'm doing a bit of a marathon watching this review and your other brush brand reviews. I did get the Wayne Goss Special Edition brushes which blew the budget lol. These are next. oxox Care
+babycake390 Well, here I am 10 months later and still enjoying my Takumi brushes. I just wanted to say, thanks for all your hard work Cornelia. You are my only source when it comes to deciding what high end brushes I want to buy. I really appreciate you and all the wonderful info you put out there. Thanks!
Thank you very much for your vdo. It's very informative. I went to Tokyo in March and had a chance to go to Tau Hiroshima Shop at Ginza. It's a pity that there weren't Takumi brushes available there. I decided to buy some of Z series instead. I bought Z3 as you've recommended in the Z series vdo. The z series brushes are the sofest brushes that I own.
Honey Awwww!!! Tokyo!! Lucky girl!! one day I will go there myself. Maybe this year ... I hope :-)) It will be amazing to explore all the Japanese brushes even more hehe. The Z Series are amazing brushes!!! xo Cornelia
Thank you so much for this review!!! It was extremely helpful!!! Decisions decisions. I'm really not sure if I should buy the powder brush since I have the TOM ford bronzer and the z9. It's so tempting lol. Hugs from California!!!
Thank you so much for the video. After seeing all the purchasing on Instagram I was definitely interested but was overwhelmed by the options. This video helped me narrow it down.
Appreciate your detailed review of the takumi series and even more the comparison with the Z series. While I do not own Chikuhodo nor Suqqu brushes, they are always in my shopping list 😜 As to the takumi angled brush, I would use it for eyebrow. I have 2 of these similarly humongous angled brow brushes from Hakuhodo, love them. If u intend to have ur brow done the Korean way, i.e. slightly thicker and angular, ur takumi badger angle brush would be very efficient at it, otherwise it would be v handy as a brow groomer... ☺️ I am just totally in love with this size eyebrow brush... And lastly, I am so happy you've filmed your brush roll. May I know what is the external and internal material? And as the straps, are they made of the same material or plain ribbon, if so are the ends sewn, do they fray?... Love brushes, brush rolls, and cosmetics/toiletries pouches...
dimdull Thanks so much for the suggestions on where to use this brush!! Will definitely give it another go and you are spot on with using it as a grooming brush :-) That definitely will work great for me!! On the Chikuhodo website it says the material used in this brush pouch is Nylon. It is well made and nicely sewn together, no fraying so far. The ribbons seem to be made of the same material and are sturdy. I don't think they will break. Definitely a good brush pouch for the price of JPY 3'000 (excl. tax). Hope this helps!! :-)) xo Cornelia
No, the handles are made of what is referred to as rock maple. A very good, furniture quality, wood. The matte finish although somewhat textured is quite smooth to the touch. Hope this helps.
How is Saibikoho compared to squirrel hair? Are they as fragile or as soft as squirrel? Please share your opinion about difference between blue and grey squirrel hair? Do u know what hair are used on RMK Brushes? And which do u orefer, Chikuhodo Z series or Hakuhodo S series? Is Suqqu cheek brush the softest of all your cheek Brushes? Thabks.
Now I'm more perplexed than ever - I need a big fluffy powder brush, one that I could use for bronzer or setting powder (until I can afford to get two luxury ones) and I was originally thinking the TF Bronzer brush. What brush would you recommend out of everything you have? They are all very similar pricing and I have tried comparing it online to Hakuhodo, Chickuhodo, etc... I would love your opinion! XOXO Jamie
AnArtistsMakeup The T-1 is definitely a great brush. As I mentioned in IG, personally, I don't reach for my TF brushes too often because they are almost too dense. I prefer a dense brush, but also a fluffy one. My fav at the moment is the Kihitsu Saikoho Green Face brush. It is so versatile and it is my current fav powder/bronzer brush :-)) xo Cornelia
I am very tempted to buy some of these brushes, however the import tax and duties are holding me back. I have ordered a bunch of Koyudo before their price increase and only like some of them. I find it rather difficult to buy brushes sight unseen since they turned out to be slightly bigger (or smaller) than what I would prefer. How are customs in the UK? I am contemplating whether or not to have it shipped to my in law's UK address. Dutch customs are horribly high (21% for any order up to a value of €150, additional 6% for anything over €150) and they charge an administration fee of £10-ish per package regardless its value.
Isabella xmw The import taxes are as bad here in the UK. I have to go through it myself all the time ... It is such a nuisance!! Another reason why I like ordering from Fude Japan. At least the Japanese prices for brushes are a bit less expensive than in the US :-) xo Cornelia
Hi i love your channel. Just found it. Recently i picked up the Takumi2 .Great brush but handle is very short in comparison to otters like Wayne goss or Mac. Is that typical for japanese brushes.?
MissKrisNails You made a big mistake with you exchange rate calculations. To be precise the Tom Ford is $115 (Nordstrom) and the Takumi T-1 is $125 (source:beautylish) and JPY 12'000 (excl tax). With the current exchange rate it works out to be ca. $100 (you can google it). Let me know the place where I can exchange for the rates you got ... I will be a rich girl Lmaoooo :-)) Hope this clarifies the matter. xo Cornelia
These look really beautiful... I definitely want to pick up a couple of these... but I'm really waiting to hear about the other ones!!!

Queenesq That's interesting!!! I don't have the Hakuhodo brush you mentioned and now there is one brush I don't need yayyy haha!!! xo Cornelia
Thank you, Cornelia, for doing such a thorough, informative review. You really helped me in deciding which brushes to purchase. Well done! Thanks again.
Okay, I'm sold. Plus just have to say love your eye makeup. Gorgeous!
Great review. I especially liked the various camera angles you used. ❤️❤️ Linda
Goddess1207 Thanks Linda!! xx
I want to get the Sigma eye brushes but that is for next year. Heard good things about those.

Maybe in the future you could demo the Brushes you review. I would love to see them in action! These look yummy! Thank you.
***** Great idea!! will or do a separate video using them :-) Thanks. xo Cornelia
I bought the entire Takumi series too. I love all of them. Best splurge yet.
Sassy Cat I agree!!! :-)))) xx

What about the z Series eyebrow Brush?
Thank you so much for the video. After seeing all the purchasing on Instagram I was definitely interested but was overwhelmed by the options. This video helped me narrow it down.

Danke für das sehr informative Video und eine schöne Osterzeit.
Sil Ba Danke Liebes!! Dir auch schöne Ostern!!! xx
Hi. Great video, very helpful. Which is the brush in 6.51( the total black one)?
Great and useful review!! Thanks a lot!! I've already placed order for T5\6\7\8 >.
Does the matte finish grab onto makeup and make the handles look dirty? They are beautiful!
No, the handles are made of what is referred to as rock maple. A very good, furniture quality, wood. The matte finish although somewhat textured is quite smooth to the touch. Hope this helps.

What payment methods does fude Japan take ? I'm assuming only PayPal ?
Thank you, Cornelia. I just purchased Hakuhodo S106 angle brush how is it compare to takumi t2 in softness and size. Thank you
Hi i love your channel. Just found it. Recently i picked up the Takumi2 .Great brush but handle is very short in comparison to otters like Wayne goss or Mac. Is that typical for japanese brushes.?
Wilhelmina Sommen Yes, some of them are shorter. Especially Chikuhodo. Try Hakuhodo. They have some longer handle brush Series too.
Thanks for your information. But i live in Europe and Hakuhodo accepteren no responsability for damage or loss during transport
The T 1 brush would cost me over $2000.00 lol the Tom Ford is 115$ big difference
$2632.70 to be precise lmaooooo
