- In an effort to improve the overall empty-handed striking skills of Kali practitioners in and out of the PTTA community, we have worked hard on building a structured and practical course that we believe will be beneficial not only to Filipino Martial Arts practitioners, but also those with a WIDE VARIETY of martial arts backgrounds. PEKITI BOXING Vol.1, with instruction from Tuhon Jared Wihongi, Ajarn Buck Grant, and Coach Kenny Bigbee Jr., is a combination of the hand striking portion of this work. Later volumes will include application of Pekiti Tirsia elbows, knees, kicks and Pangamut joint manipulations.
Whether you are a casual martial artist from various backgrounds, a Filipino Martial Artist at any point of your development, or a complete beginner, this PEKITI BOXING course will greatly enhance the development of your empty handed striking capability.
Even seasoned combat sport fighters will find benefits from the techniques and concepts taught in this course.
PEKITI BOXING Vol.1 will take you through a methodology starting with basic striking techniques and mechanics all the way through advanced attribute development drills that will provide you with skills beneficial for real world self defense or combat sports.

I remember watching a documentary years ago , about a guy from National geographic or Discovery that went on in asia c and trained With an old grand master on pekiti tirsia , and Hi specifically said that they don’t punch in that syatem , but they rather use their open hand .
Maybe it was tv show Kill Arman, I watched it on Odyssey Channel in Spain. He learned Cambodia Bokator too, and main martial arts around the world. Its a show from Finland TV.

A prime example of the d effectiveness of modern training in the empty-handed section in Pekiti Tirzija.
Boxing a classic boxer by boxing rules is the height of folly. It is knowingly hopeless for obvious reasons to all normal people, with the exception of the Pekiti Tirsia clowns. It is the result of them moving away from the Old Kali training method and not coming up with a training methodology, in this section, to full-fledged sparring using the traumatic techniques of Old Kali.
All this nonsense Wihongi is demonstrating here will never work by definition...... the rules determine the manner of fighting..... it is stupid to fight a boxer, Kick boxer, Thai boxer, by their rules.
So it's all a useless circus.
