That is definitely cuteness overload. I just love sloths. Amazing all the different creatures in the world. There is one thing in common with the mothers and that is how well they take care of their babies. If only the two-legged would be such good mothers.
They are so adapted to trees.... Literally almost their whole life in the tree. Look how adapted they are to exist on those brances as effortlessly as we sit on the couch.
The closest living relatives of the Darwin's Ground Sloth (Mylodon darwini) are the Two-Toed Sloth (genus Choloepus) while the closest living relatives of both the Jefferson's Ground Sloth (Megalonyx jeffersonii) and Cuvier's Colossal Ground Sloth (Megatherium americanum) are the Three-Toed Sloths (genus Bradypus).
